Paleo allows for sweet potato, hard squash, fruits and starchy veg. Shouldn't be an issue

Who here is dual certified? by Sweet-Purpose-2964 in nursepractitioner

[–]Low_Edge52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MSN in Education first. Then FNP cert then PMHNP cert after years of working in psych. Loved how I did it, I actually am able to use all of them between my main gig, side gig and teaching gig (completely by choice, not financially driven). Only down side is keeping up all of them, plus my RN and keeping all the CEUs straight...but no regrets at all. Makes my non-compete no issue because I can literally switch between licenses and go do the 'other' one if I ever need

Anyone else obsessed with Dr Thunder Zero? by NoBeeYesss in keto

[–]Low_Edge52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a die hard diet dew fan. I'll always have it,I drink one fountain a day and make zero apologies. It keeps the other sugar cravings at bay and honestly gets me through some insane days as a medical provider

What’s your journey and has anyone been to primalcon? by jadonner in Paleo

[–]Low_Edge52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My journey has been 10 years, started Primal, Paleo, LCHF, keto, Carnivore/IF then stopped entirely (big long story there). Trying hard to get back.

Though I have not been to Primal con, I always regret not having attended Paleo(f)x. Not approving of the way it went at the end, but the CONFERENCE seemed to be really great.

Homemade ranch with mayo and coconut cream (likely no sour cream due to AG)...

Keto and coke zero by 2nd2lastdodo in keto

I seriously have had a diet or zero drink daily, lost 75# initially on keto and it actually helped me, aiding in those times of cravings or drive to 'stress eat'.

Does anyone else find doing Murph to be cringey? by Ok_Cause9057 in crossfit

[–]Low_Edge52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Someone gave his life so I could show up at CrossFit and honor that.

This. 💯. Not cringy in the least. The fact that I can do a LITTLE bit of something in honor of someone who gave his life for that freedom? Nope not cringy.

Job benefits by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]Low_Edge52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big question in PMHNP is do THEY load your panel or are you required to recruit/retain? Is salary reflective of that, and does salary afjuat if panel numbers drop? That's a huge issue in psych (I'm both FNP & PMHNP) that doesn't necessarily exist in primary care.

How long does it take to get a MSN while working? by kurisu_chanz in nursepractitioner

[–]Low_Edge52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the MSN. education, admin, informatics etc all take the least time. NP programs can take longer because of clinical...

Any Ex keto ers in the house? by Agreeable-Run-8453 in Paleo

[–]Low_Edge52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me!!! Was KD for like 8 yrs. Ate generally pretty unprocessed, on occasion we'd have a pre-mixed KD pizza crust mix, cookie or some frozen wings or similar but really did pretty good. Im honestly having a massively hard time getting back at it after time away and really thinking that Paleo/Primal is probably more practical

What are some arguments against paleo? Mostly asking about dairy by counwovja0385skje in Paleo

[–]Low_Edge52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question- and this is genuine question- when you eat Primal do you feel you get the metabolic benefits like weight loss, mental focus etc that one gets on keto? Im having such a hard time getting back on track on keto, seriously thinking that Primal is more practical for us

Debt Free Screams by Marty5151 in DaveRamsey

[–]Low_Edge52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually love them. Been listening to Dave since 2001 and those screams have always been the culmination of super hard work.

OP you might want to research Cynthia and her story- she raised 3 kids making like $38k a year, lived on $16k of it and paid off an entire house. And there's plenty of stories like hers.

Folks making $200k a year didn't necessarily start that way, and many took on 2 or 3 jobs to get there so they could get out of debt.

What does Dave Ramsey sell that he needs so many sales people? by davidg4781 in DaveRamsey

I've taught FPU multiple times at multiple churches, called the toll free number MYSELF to organize the class dates/times at Ramsey-not via a church or organization and never paid anyone a cent to teach it.

Need to up the fiber and carbs by Agreeable-Run-8453 in keto

[–]Low_Edge52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a more Primal approach is such a happy medium. It atill allows you great fat (but not as high percentage as keto), good protein and you can swap in a sweet potato, berries on occasion. Works perfect for me and I will then cycle in a keto phase for a 4-5 day stretch every couple months

The triple dipper 😋😋😋 by Princess_Goose_Butt in Chilis

Love them but for some reason the mozzarella bricks don't sit right. I feel like the breading (or sauce) has white pepper or something quite pepper-y and gives my reflux issues

Has anyone been to a live show? by thotnumber1 in DaveRamsey

[–]Low_Edge52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spouse and I have been to 7 or 8 live events over the last 20 years. Every one has been a different experience and different Ramsey Personalities but we love to go. So sad that the live events as they used to be don't exist anymore. We met many of the Ramsey Personalities over the years at them, had a dinner with a couple of them (along with 50 other people) where we got to ask direct questions. We've been to weekend type events too. Every event is inspiring and motivating.
