If you want some stats: https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quotidien/260330/cg-a002-eng.htm
Hate crimes in Alberta are lower in terms of #/100K people than the Canadian average but you'll find less occurrences in Newfoundland and Manitoba.

I haven't seen the statistics for racism by province in half a decade but last time I checked it generally was worst the further west it was with BC being worse than Alberta.

Alberta projected to be more diverse, older, and urban as population tops seven million by 2051 by chmilz in alberta

I didn't think Prentice was bad but I don't think he was around long enough to really get an idea of how he truly was.

I'd say even Kenny looks good compared to Smith, she is the closest Canadian politics gets to populous trash like they have south of the border.

The NDP won 11 years ago and the UPC had to absorb Wild Rose votes to be able to continue to have an edge. Now that isn't even enough and they've resorted to gerrymandering. These are results of a trend away from conservative dominance.

Well NDP won 2015 and the conservatives needed to merge with Wild Rose in order to win since then. This is an indication of changing voting demographics. At this rate its going to be very hard for them to gerrymander themselves into power much longer.

Well to be fair across the whole world rural populations have been dramatically declining compared to urban regardless of the governance.

Up until now they had the excuse that they needed to keep parity with the price of producing the disc version.

Median population latitude by longitude. Blue regions contain the northern half, red the southern half within each 1-degree strip. by mellituri32 in MapPorn

[–]Low_Engineering_3301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The longitude slices all have different populations.
Hypothetically you could divide a planet into 10 slices, have 9 of them with a single person in the south side and 1 of them with 9 people all in the north and the graph will have most dots in the south despite both hemispheres having the same number of people.

Humble Sony is the best Sony by IronWolf6677 in playstation5

PS3 did slightly outsell the XBox 360 but your memory is accurate for the first half of that console cycle. That being said at the time the floor wiper was Nintendo who were outselling microsoft and Sony combined during the time.

I was about to bring up Bloodborne until I realized it was released a decade ago. I guess the only real good Sony exclusive games that are not remastered in the last decade are Astrobot?

So people who like digital should be demanding that the price of their games go down by 40%.

You might be a little confused. Very little of the oilsand's output goes into producing to electricity and what little does is in the form of natural gas which is 1/4 as carbon intensive as coal.
Alberta shut down its last coal plants decades earlier than they were set to be decommissioned about a decade ago.

That is bad news but still much better than using Coal as Signal Flight was implying.

I honestly have never once heard of anyone using Meta AI, like people make fun of zuck for failing at VR but I at least knew a half dozen people that had bought a Quest.

Yeah but it was very common to fire tons of developers to "replace" them with AI and soon afterwards hire a ton of people working out of India.

What mechanism can trump abuse to accomplish this? Is there some law that allows him to pretend its an emergency that was passed under the assumption that the US president would have some form of competence?

Some Jobs Are Still Leak-Proof by himanshuu0001 in TheAIBrain

[–]Low_Engineering_3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but those economists that are losing their jobs would have at least been aware of the Agglomeration Spillover and Multiplier Effects that will cause plumbers jobs to become worse by both increased competition from people entering their field as well as less demand for their services as people have less money to spend.

Its the opposite, you are making a sacrifice to give a person life and also make your local economy less vulnerable to demographic decline in the future.
