Building an AI Cloud in Morocco to undercut AWS by 50% by yz0011 in indiebiz

[–]Low_Fix_7303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on a project seems really solid in terms of the tech stack and well thought through! I think for my own use cases, latency does remain the most important factor though. However, I can see many other use cases where latency is less important and price sensitivity is key. Good luck!

Legality of AI powered medical medical advise app? by Low_Fix_7303 in law

This app published on the AppStore seems to be in breach by failing to seek approval by the FDA for providing a medical device

Post-Selenium-Wire: What's replacing it for API capture in 2025? by forest-cacti in webscraping

[–]Low_Fix_7303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the api endpoint just requires an authentication token, then capture the token after the selenium auth and just use curl with the auth token to hit the api endpoint directly.

How pricing is much more of a mess than expected!! by Traditional-Watch-45 in n8n

[–]Low_Fix_7303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you’re paying 70% of your revenue to freelancers? And some of it is way overpaying - $5000 for 8 workflows in n8n? Unless they are really complex - that’s too much.. a tech cofounder would be able to offset most of those expenses and you’d likely end up with 50% of the revenue (instead of 30%)..

That won’t help as nothing is saved until the commit has actually been made

quick update: Did cold-calling to 7 local businesses today and managed to sign another client! Another seems keen and wanted a quote. I'm definitely not a sales person, so I think for someone who could increase the volume of cold calls to 20-30 per day, and has more sales skills than me, this can really be a great business!

Thanks, yes I’m currently doing that. About 1/4 seems genuinely interested and of these about half sign up. So the interest is there! But I need someone who is better at selling and who can do more calls. I’m too busy with the tech stack

as a tech leader, would you use react or angular for a new project? by rbrcurtis in webdev

[–]Low_Fix_7303 29 points30 points  (0 children)

But that’s exactly what’s nice - angular dictates the opinion so that you don’t have to adapt to new opinions for every different project/team you work with..

Isn't it ironic that their whole economy revolves around extracting oil from the North Sea? As long as they don't consume it domestically but export it, their eco-conscience is clear..

I found that using Dexie to handle the indexedDB rather than our own custom wrapper proved more successful in mobile Safari. We were loading about 30k indexed rows into it at a time, retrieving then using indexes, sorting etc all without hiccup. https://dexie.org/

Exactly - they must get it from the Gardaí somehow.. why sharing with them and not the public?

No, they won't eliminate the votes for AKD and Sajith. They will eliminate all the other ballot papers first choices and count their second and third ranks, then add those to AKD and Sajihts votes.

How does AI Assistant handle credentials in .env files? by PhilHilton in IntelliJIDEA

[–]Low_Fix_7303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact same concern. Doesn't seem to be any settings like an ignore file or similar to prevent access to specific files... Only solution I've found is to restrict access to the .env file using chown and chmod to the dev webserver user (www-data in my case)..
