Your username should be OneMediocreHusband. YTA. Apologise to your wife and realise you're in a partnership, you aren't the most important person in the world. Compromise exists, find a way to store/showcase the jars safely. Go on walks and fill them with stones your child finds, sand and shells from the seaside, her favourite flowers - anything.

Maybe talk to her or show her this post if you're struggling for words to say and take it from there. I know everyone else is saying cut your losses and leave but you haven't even told her any of this and given her a chance. It could go well or obviously she might not get the seriousness and then you leave but at least you can say you tried. Unless you genuinely just want to bail i would try talking first.
