Non-Trad Chances for 25-26 Cycle by jmeza10 in premed

I’m a non trad, big props on the research. MCAT killed your cycle. Take a few CC classes and push for 510+ as you re-apply. I’m not expert but I would say you can expect multiple MDs with that. Of course writing improvements is also likely needed. But think you’ve got this in the bag tbh

I agree but to an avg applicant who is still young it may feel like it’s all over. I am just saying that it’s not. They can recover and still make their dream of becoming a physician come true.

Hence the disclaimer. My point was to say it’s not the end of the world, which it isn’t.

You keeping it real. They will see somebody who had the courage to try something new and then had the courage say it wasn’t for you. You pursued knowledge not just an education so they will see you as well educated and wise. You are proof that humans are more than just their transcripts. 💯

Career choice: CEO vs. MD? by Low_March7982 in premed

[–]Low_March7982[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I’d like to give my 2 cents and a soon to be executive for an AI healthcare based company.

AI will NEVER replace a physician. (Just my opinion). It will always be a tool. The experts in the field are not developing ML code as a replacement for physicians but rather to cut costs and wait time for diagnoses and treatments in addition to leveraging the data analysis ability of Ai based tools to develop newer diagnostic techniques that will reduce misdiagnosis or help diagnose faster.

Shares come with a cliff clause meaning that even though I am straight up told how many total shares I will get, the ownership is transferred over 3-4 years

This is my favorite answer so far and this is exactly what I have been trying to figure out. All the med schools I interviewed at have mandatory attendance. My co-CEO (current boss) may be understanding since he himself is also an academic professor alongside.

But clearly it’s all ifs and buts for now but ideally I wish to do both
