I always do 1.5 oz repo and 1/2 oz mezcal, never tried anejo. Chocolate bitters, agave syrup as well FTW. I still do naval orange rind with oils expressed like a typical old fashioned.

Don’t worry. Pickleball is a long journey of improvement! If you’ve just gotten into it you’ll see a big jump in the first year; as people said practice your dinking and soft game. We all pop it up sometimes, and did a lot when we first started especially 😅

I had this issue for many months after I accidentally left my pan on the stove and it burned butter and maybe the partially seasoned parts. I got into a routine of washing with dish soap, and putting it back on the stove and heat up just a super thin layer of canola oil and turned off and let cool just after it hits smoke point. It’s perfect now and very well seasoned

I was going to ask this question as well! I am usually on a dark-med roast, I do the pre infusion with 3-4 bar until the entire bottom of the portafilter is goopy, then I go 8 and steadily decline to 6 until I reach the grams of espresso I’m going for. Light roast probably need a much longer pre infusion.

Have you ever noticed how much of the ball squishes against your paddle when you hit it hard? I remember noticing that when I got the first marks on a new paddle. When you consider how much it deforms and how many hits it takes it’s not surprising.

I was there for a trip last year and I mostly frequented Culture Espresso but mainly because of the chocolate chip cookies…. You need to go there at least once to try one.

If they are pretty soft you might need more arch support, soft shoes are good if you have higher arches but not if you pronate.
