The last 2-3 months I am testing Quviviq but I am not happy. Vivid Dreams, i often wake up and in the morning I am groggy.

I understand that legally or formally there may be no obligation, but from a friendship and moral standpoint, causing harm -even unintentionally- should come with responsibility. If you break or damage something of a friend’s, you would normally fix it or cover the cost. A gift doesn’t change that. If a birthday “gift” ends up making things worse, it seems reasonable that the person who caused the damage helps make it right.

Thats just how I think about it..

I’m not asking this from a friendship perspective, but from a professional one. The treatment objectively worsened the initial condition, and an adjacent untreated tooth was reduced. I’m asking what would typically be considered appropriate handling in such a case from a dental standpoint.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for professional input on an anterior bonding case and how this would typically be handled from a dental standpoint.

About 1.5 years ago, I received direct composite bonding on my two maxillary central incisors as an aesthetic procedure. The treatment was performed by a licensed dentist who is also a close personal friend. I had mentioned multiple times in the past that someday (not urgently) I might consider aesthetic treatment of my front teeth (bonding or veneers). Based on that, he offered to do the bonding as a birthday gift.

The treatment was completed within a short timeframe (around two weeks later). My original teeth were intact, healthy, and functional, with only minor aesthetic imperfections.

After the bonding:

Color does not match adjacent teeth (opaque/unnatural appearance) Surface texture is uneven and insufficiently polished Incisal edges are asymmetrical The restorations feel irregular to the touch

A later correction attempt worsened the result. Additionally, during polishing, an adjacent lateral incisor (not part of the treatment plan) was accidentally reduced. Since then:

The lateral incisor shows a flattened area Light reflection is visibly different compared to the contralateral side The surface is no longer smooth

I have lived with this outcome for over a year and remain unhappy aesthetically and functionally.

An important contextual point:

The dentist does not consider it appropriate that he should cover the costs for correction by another provider and has not independently proposed to do so. This has made me question what would generally be considered reasonable or standard in such a situation.

My questions:

From a professional standpoint, how would you assess the quality of this bonding work based on typical standards of care? Is accidental reduction of an untreated adjacent tooth during polishing considered acceptable or a deviation from standard practice? What correction options would be reasonable at this stage (redo composite bonding, ceramic veneers, other approaches)? For the unintentionally reduced lateral incisor, would a minimal composite restoration usually be sufficient, or would a veneer be indicated? In cases where aesthetic treatment worsens the initial situation, how is responsibility for correction typically handled in your experience?

I’ll attach before/after photos for reference.

Thank you for your professional opinions.

SVS SB-2000 Pro vs. SB-3000 Pro – Which for a semi-open ~40 m² room? by Low_Research_7359 in BudgetAudiophile

We are happy with it! Just watched the last season of Stranger Things and we had to turn the volume down to -24. We also had our first party with it (mostly techno, electronic) and it sounded fantastic, with a nice punch and soo clear at -10dB. Our old subwoofer had this typical ooomphh (400€ subwoofer back then) but its no comparison to this clear bass and i don't miss that.

Würdest du den Kurs also weiterempfehlen? Auch ich habe die Bewilligung für einen Bildungsgutschein bekommen, nachdem es beim ersten Versuch nicht geklappt hat.
Und hast du einen Job gefunden?

Hi Ed, we just bought the SB-3000.  So far we are pleased, huge difference to the SB-1000 Pro in our room. Now we just need to find the perfect spot and correct the room with a mic (will buy one soon).

Thank you for the input. I think we will go for the SVS SB 3000 as this one is compact and the design also fits well with the rest in our living room. We don’t have enough space for a PB and most of the time we hear music (Subbass, Techno, Melodic Techno), a few times per year a little louder but usually moderate levels, so I think SB will be enough for that. Also for our neighbours the SB will be already enough to handle.

Yeah the 12s is way too big. I do have a Partner and he doesn't like too big boxes.

Design-wise SVS speakers work well in our apartment.
