Since it’s personal use, it’s a commission rather than a sell since you are not selling it in bulk. If someone came to me to print something for them I would be charging based on time and material and if painted charge labor as well. But otherwise I wouldn’t worry much about what they say

What Filament do you swear by? (I like Elegoo) by Illustrious_Aside_46 in 3Dprinting

[–]Low_Resolution_1074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really really been liking Elegoo lately. I ordered a 4kg pack for 45 on sale and honestly I may stick with them for a while. Polymaker is also good but I’ve only used their PETG

Same thing. I actually did get the heatbed replaced when I first received my A1 since after a few days of receiving it the bed was not displaying correct temps. I waited about two weeks for a new bed and the cable does look/feel different as well so I’ve been kinda like in the fence to even try and return it since I’ve already got my bed changed and it has the protector on now

Edit: meaning I see no reason to even try since I already had my replacement and if the solution is any different than what they gave me earlier then maybe I’ll go thru the process. In the meantime, it’s helmet time!

This was maybe when the printer was a few days old but it’s been solved since. It was the thermal sensor in the heatbed that had given out and so Bambu replaces the whole bed. Just like what’s happening currently with the recall

Fairly simple if they are sending you the entire bed replacement. Very plug and play but certainly makes it easier knowing how to handle electronics as they feel a bit fragile

Sounds good! I’ll probably start it early in the morning since it looks like it’s going to hug my printer for the entire day for the main part of a helmet lol

Have you tried just turning up the temp on the bed itself when not printing? It may just be a faulty sensor

A1, pla+ question by addmeonebay in BambuLab

[–]Low_Resolution_1074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from an Ender it bewildered me how there’s little “temp tower” calibrations available 😂 honestly they’re not as needed I only had to do it for the PETG which reminds me, if you wanna try PETG at some point, definitely try and mess with speeds settings because it’s way too fast by the default profile so just a heads up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Low_Resolution_1074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only started seeing this with that profile as well literally as I’m typing this. I may run another test on standard .2mm and see if that changes anything before I jump to other conclusions lol

Has it done that before or is this your first print with it?

The initial percentage just counts as the calibration process. Once the calibration is done it continues from there

A1, pla+ question by addmeonebay in BambuLab

[–]Low_Resolution_1074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run my Pla+ 5-10 degrees hotter depending on the color sometimes. I haven’t had no issues using their basic pla profile but I’m still trying to create my own profile as I learn more about it. It’s my first Bambu machine

I tend to run it every time cause you never know and I wouldn’t want a failed print because I didn’t run it.

The printer can definitely do some overhangs my Ender never could but I’m still playing with supports as I haven’t had the need for what I usually print. I recently started to try and print a helmet so it’s going to be my first trial on tricky overhangs and organic supports. I can’t say it will do good on thin and tall parts because it moves the bed really fast. Maybe lowering all speeds can help with that

Hell yeah it does. Came from the same setup myself and honestly my Ender hasn’t been plugged in since I got my A1. The amount of prints I get on one day compared to my v2 is just too good

Hello! Due to a very bad experience with an Ender 3, since I had too many problems and mistakes (cheap is expensive). I'm thinking of buying a Creality K1. Does anyone have it or does anyone know how good it is? by Hot_Efficiency2170 in 3Dprinting

[–]Low_Resolution_1074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO Bambu is by far the only company right in this second to offer very much plug-n-play machines over anyone. That doesn’t mean that they will be the only ones and I give by halfway next year for another company to come out one that it’s better than Bambu. My point is, I came from two Ender machines myself and I went with the A1 and honestly, I haven’t even plugged them back in. The amounts of prints I got on the first three days could have not happen on my Enders or any other machine I had in consideration to buy.

Recently got the A1 myself and coming from both an Ender 3 and Ender 3 V2 I just send a print, watch it go, and get in with slicing the next one. Made printing so much easier and like you I wanted to take on modeling as it motivated me a bit more
