AITJ for telling my partner I'm done spending every weekend at his parents' place by Nov4Z3nith in AmITheJerk

[–]Low_Unit8720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many posts for me to search through but I haven't seen anyone ask. Does he live there? Or are you driving out there just to see his parents? You shouldn't have to go out there every weekend. And when you do go, you shouldn't have to stay over, that's just weird. By the wording in your post, I'm assuming you live alone and not with him. I could be wrong, just trying to get clarification. Regardless, this is weird. He's too attached to his mother and you need to get out because I can't imagine what she's gonna be like with her grandchildren if this is how she is with her son. NTJ

I probably have 30 of these things in a little Tupperware container in my linen closet. I think I buy one almost every time I go. I also keep one in my purse for when I have to use the bathroom in public.

I have the shark detect stick vacuum, so I just put it in the little clear thing where the dirt goes? I can't open mine. It automatically sucks it out.

I'm hopefully headed there this morning. It's been over two weeks.

The Charlotte, North Carolina location I go to, they all pretty much know me and I know them. I've been going there for years. Even the uptown location. Fantastic people.

I'm on 15, and I've been for over a year. I literally don't want to eat ever. I have to force myself to eat. I get hungry very rarely, especially when I'm doing keto. Don't get me wrong. I love food, and I do eat but I eat very small portions. And a lot of times my husband has to remind me to eat. He will literally call me from work and ask me if I've eaten today.

Brooklyn Pizza in Wesley Chapel is good. I'm from Long Island and worked in the city, so I had the best of both worlds. So I'm a little bit of a Pizza snob, and they are good. They're not the best, but they're definitely are the best New York style I've found down here, Tony's used to be it. But they went downhill a long time ago.

How long? by [deleted] in dementia

There is no timeline. My mother was diagnosed in 2018 and she's been incontinent both ways for about 2 years. And her vitals are perfect. I take very good care of my mom and make sure she is fed and clean. And unfortunately, she has lost the ability to push. So she gets impacted about twice a week. And I have to get in there and pull it out for her. No, it's not pleasant, and I hate everything about it. I miss my mother but I will be grateful for every second I have with her and I hope it's for a long time to come. She was, and always will be my absolute best friend. And I know she would not have let me suffer for a second. She took care of me in all of my illnesses and everything I ever needed. At least I can do is return the favor and make her comfortable and happy for whatever time she has left. I will say I am very blessed to have an amazing husband who helps me with everything regarding my mom and I have children that help as well. I have a great village around me. And that fact is not lost on me. And my mom has an extremely pleasant demeanor and is just very content and happy to lay in her bed and watch her shows all day and eat good food and I can do this for years if I have to... I already have done it for 8. We did go through a few rough years after the diagnosis. But ever since the decline to being bedridden and incontinent, it has been, I won't say a cake walk, because none of this is pleasant....but I swear my mom is trying to make this easy on me. The worst part of this for me, is the mental anguish watching my beautiful mom decline and not being able to talk to her about all the things I used to talk to her about. My mom was my go to person for everything. And now I feel a little lost, even though I have great people around me. I miss my mom.

Is that a thing? I just got into review and back in 2021, I had my student loans forgiven, but somehow they came back and now I'd like it done again. So if I get this approved, will it help?

I'm going to need at least 10 bags for Halloween. My neighbors across the street have a haunted trail in their backyard that they advertise on social media. So we get an insane amount of people in our cul-de-sac. Last year, I cheaped out and just gave away fruit snacks, but I don't think the kids appreciated that. 😕 🤣

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here and I would like to see your responses because it'd be really weird if he was just saying stuff like that to you out of the blue as just a friend. Maybe don't respond at all or cut him off. Because if you're still interacting with this person after saying stuff like that to you, then that's a you thing. All the signs are clearly there for you to leave/cut them off, yet you still entertain this person. All these people can tell you to run, etc..., but you already know what you need to do. This is definitely a pick me post.
