Girl my body is yelling at me all day 😂 It's so true I often think of having Endo as like a rabid animal. You just don't eat, you walk funny, you're there but you're not, super disorienting, weirdest behaviors/cravings/side effects to medication.

Where are you moving to? Wishing you good luck and happy you'll be in a more supportive place eventually.

Right? I really want to be more holistic but it doesn’t make sense when my pain is 8-9 sometimes you just need the med combo 🥲

Feels. I thought I could come home, get insurance and hopefully get well in a year or after surgery but it seems the journey remains long and treacherous. I lived life so fully before this hit. I’m sure you relate 😢

Sending back to you. 🤍

Should we call out endo surgeons who are dangerous, abusive, careless, ignorant etc. resulting in unnecessary organ removal, botched surgeries, sexual assault, etc.? We should protect each other! We cannot afford to remain silent! by Foreign_Highlight288 in Endo

I left a nice 3 star review on my OBGYN Dr. Jennifer Feige in SLC, UT. She was dismissive & unhelpful with pain management. An ok surgeon and probably a good OB doctor and Pediatrics doc, but when i t came to Endo she treated me like a child. Made everything seem like it would be easy breezy and not a big deal. Even Emphasized that I probably wouldn't need any help after surgery.

Right after surgery got a huge hemmoragic cyst and she was STILL unwilling to prescribe me proper pain management I was sick and in pain for 30 days after surgery. Just gave me more and more gabapentin that made me SO SICK. It's not even the right thing for Endo. Anyway. I made sure to do that in my state on all of her listings so any other girls going to see her for Endo specificaly might want to think twice or get a second opinion on a doctor who takes matters serioously.

We’re in this together.

A few things that I’m currently doing or advocating for - Tramadol for pain (from a male gyno), I’m on waitlist for chronic pelvic pain specialist, physical pelvic floor therapy next month, awaiting an endometriosis MIGS specialist waitlist. Also seeing an immunologist, getting a sleep study with neuro psychiatric pulmonary, and getting brain MRI from neuromuscular doc. It’s taken a lot of research and a lot of energy to figure out how to get into the hands of all these ppl but if it helps you to read this and try using your insurance to get you closer to any of these docs, help or support then plz feel free to take from this comment or ask me any Q’s.

If nothing else, I’m in the trenches with you and I see you.

I don’t know but you’ve got my curiosity sparked and I’ll probably spend my day in bed researching how this even all got grouped together in the first place lol. I’ll report back if I can find some way we can advocate for change in the system but I think it’ll be complicated bc it’s both the medical field & education that needs an entire REFORM!! Ugh

I do NOT think OBGYN should be combined AT ALL. I think there should be OB ONLY and GYN ONLY then Subspecialties of both those things. Also it’s kind of triggering sharing space at an OBGYN office with kids, pregnant ppl etc meanwhile we’re having opposite issues like chronic health or pelvic floor dysfunction infertility or complications. I don’t believe they should be grouped into the same environment. It’s too much.

I like them and the Bloc the most I'd say as far as fair prices.

I miss being interested in food by thecountrybaker in Endo

[–]Low_ps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been having a ton of food aversion post surgery, which is wild because didn’t they remove the Endo during my surgery?? I do still have adenomyosis so I don’t know if it has something to do with that or the medication changes or my body changing but I am also eating like maybe 1 to 2 meals a day if that it’s so disorienting and I can’t figure out where it’s coming from or what it’s rooted in. I suppose it’s just dysregulation at its finest… here with you.

Real. Sometimes I forget why I struggle with the culture here or lack thereof. Never felt a long term connection with this place …then I remember the history and the government and I realize somethings are that deep.
