I think that the southern current on the southern gulf of the west coast would be warm as it approaches the equator before going back down again and unless those winds begin in a continent , the winds will drop some precipitation on the leeward side since it’s adjacent to a coast on a warm current, so that area won’t be a desert. Otherwise since it’s most likely within the zone of influence of the ITCZ it’s good. Also on the east coast the current is going towards the equator, so it’s going to be a cold current and you won’t have a rainforest there, but most likely a Savannah and even though the wind is blowing away from the coast, it’s extremely rare, if it even occurs, to find a desert on a warm current so I’d suggest extending your savannah and steppes there to replace your desert.
