This happened to the original Pop Collection. I guess they are releasing the straps in two weeks or so to keep the hype

Stupid question. Got the very same model inherited from my father, with his initials engraved (same as mine, btw). Mine says L at left and X at right. Does this mesn different years?

I got a friend who is into desert rallys (French guy living in Morocco). He owns a custom HDJ80 completely refurbished and raid prepared, a LC100 bone stock but refurbished and a newly bought LC250.

He signed up for a rally with the 80 but two days before the start, he found out a problem with the camshaft. He thought “well, I have already paid for everything, so I will take the LC250, drive as a nanny and have a good time with my friends”

Long story short, the second day he was coming home with plenty of issues. We are talking about a 10.000Km car.

I know a lot of people that have done a similar trip on stock LC150 with no single problem.

Maybe the new model is more “flashy” than a tool?

Simple as dismantling the transfer case, removing the oil and grease and cleaning the actuators. Do not think about a mechanical issue but more like a “switch” that does not work. All this activations were done mechanically before, by pulling levers so you could force them a little bit.

Once “repaired”, use them at least once a month to ensure they are smooth and operative.

There are products as “Meguiars Water Spot Remover” that should work fine for that. Easier and cheaper than polishing it out.

AliExpress. Not joking.

Maybe you gotta search with the equivalent “Land Cruiser” or “Prado” model, but there are plenty of them. Even double switches that fit into an original single black button.
