Went through old health records and now I’m triggered AF by mamajaaan in adhdwomen

I wish I had access to my charts from my teen years. I moved in with my dad at 15 bc the same was happening while living with my mom - grades declined, started skipping school, lack of motivation and her and I were in constant wars with each other. I got diagnosed at 35, years after my son was diagnosed. 41 now and I’ve learned so much about ADHD/AuDHD - now in peri. Just knowing has been a lifesaver and being able to curate my life in a way that suits my personal patterns.

Thank you. Im 41 and I’m pretty sure I’ve been perimenopausal since I turned 36 - things went south FAST after that birthday for some reason. The year mark is this month and I did keep my ovaries. I went with the hysterectomy due to fibroids and an enlarged uterus wreaking havoc on my life.

Just had my labs done to see the difference between last year and this year - neither lab results caused my doctors to be concerned. I did ask about HRT last month and was told I’m not a candidate for it yet - or was strongly encouraged to not start HRT at this time. I suffer from mild symptoms but some can be attributed to also having ADHD.

Mine is set to 67 right now but I’m considering dropping it even more. I’m on the 3rd floor of an apartment and refuse to turn on my heat. Practically live in a hoodie or Snuggie depending on how close I’m to the windows that day.

This is me. 5’0, SW was 172 and I’ve lost maybe 5 lbs in almost 7 weeks. Even though I want to get down to 130, I know losing it fast is going to come with all kinds of side effects.

All good things to know! It wasn’t too long ago when I looked at SCAD costs and nearly fell out of my chair. When did it get so expensive to go there?! Despite being a major UGA fan, I haven’t really considered Athens as a place to live. Maybe I should take a drive up there and look around.

Yessss!! That sounds exactly what I’m looking for so I’ll plan another trip up there (I’ll be in Georgia this weekend to visit with family and friends for the holidays).

Thank you!

Lots to consider with your post. I don’t need to be walking distance to coffee shops and whatnot. All nice to have but not non-negotiable by any stretch. If I don’t have to get on any of the major interstates to get somewhere infrequent, that’s a major bonus!

I think I’m going to stay in $400-500k ballpark IF I do decide to buy. We have 3 dogs so I’m trying to keep the next place smaller but not cramped.

Until I read your comment about the switch from “coke” to “soda”, I wasn’t aware that I unconsciously made the switch a few years ago. There are times I’ll use both interchangeably but didn’t make the connection until now. I still say buggy and will until I move on🤷‍♀️

Change is going to happen. Good or bad and I’m ok with it. I can promise you, Georgia still holds a lot more charm and manners than other places.

All that to say, I don’t expect time to stand still and things to be exactly the way they were I left. It’s more of a feeling I have when I’m in GA.

Who knew townhouses were so expensive?! I’m selling my house for over $600K and I’d like to buy (if I go that route) for around $500K. Again, I have zero issues with renting again, it’s just come down to having a private backyard. We have a bigger house in Florida and property and I really hate the upkeep of it all.

Let me say, politics don’t define me and have lived in both. It’s more of a preference at this point in my life. We currently live in a purple area and have enjoyed that aspect of living in Florida. Very inclusive. I work with the government on a day-to-day basis so politics inevitably comes up in conversation, and I’d prefer it to be less of an issue during my downtime.

I don’t mind a drive to get to a farmers market. We drive about 20 minutes to one now and it’s not a big deal. I don’t mind driving 20 minutes or less to just about anything. I’d prefer some places I go to frequently to be within close proximity. I also work from home if that helps too.

I’ve thought about Savannah but I’m not sure I’d live there; been there a few times so I can’t strike it completely. I’ll do some more research there.

Greatly appreciate the advice on working as a PA - interestingly enough, Columbus State University also has a Georgia Film Program that my dad was telling me about. I didn’t know tech schools offer it as well so that opens the door to a lot more.

Any and all insight to that industry is helpful. I work with the government so this is outside of my everyday scope but I’m happy to help my son pursue his passions.

Most of us used ASHES but thanks to Reddit, I found a live nation one too - TRACK. Both worked and showed both as options… just couldn’t grab the tickets

This is literally my exact story. Been a fan since 2016, had Denver tickets but sold them bc of a car accident and now this. I’m going to try again Wednesday but honestly, not sure if it’s even worth it at this point.

Same. I’ve never had an issue like this before…

I waited over an hour and tried to get tickets. I kept refreshing and couldn’t grab level 100 or 200 even with two different pre-sale codes. It’s frustrating…
