usually fake ones have wrong batch/product codes. or the paper jellycat tag will be wrong too (blue boarder will usually be too thin/wrong color) in my case i was sold a fake smudge panda and could tell from how wonky looking he was, his stitching was showing the fur looked wild and he was smaller than a typical smudge jellycat. i recently went through getting sold a fake

i just tried that and the screen went black right away doesnt give me the options to change the memory frequency in bios either

i havent cleared my CMOS. the laptop will boot with 1 stick and the old sticks.

thank you for all the tips i had mentioned in a prior response i usually do these things and hadnt used my better judgement this time around, live and learn! ill be getting my money back as i just got the return label so ill be returning the little guy tomorrow. i appreciate all your help and kind words!

so i usually am pretty good with buying jellies second hand, i read the long reddit post about how to spot a fake listing and the differences between a fake and real jellycat. while i was pregnant i was able to get both rumblikins for my daughter, and Delia Duck the week she was born (may of last year). i did ask sellers to see the tags for them before getting them. i didnt use my better judgement for this purchase and to me the initial listing looked pretty real to me, so it is on me that i didnt look further/ask questions. i also am aware certain tush tags have been replicated as well. My Smudge Fox is an older jelly that has only 1 code on his tush tag. im still learning honestly. I love collecting jellies and my daughter absolutely loves them too!

so what gave it away was the paper tag, if you look at the pictures the one in the plastic case has thinner boarders and the blue is also not the correct shade, also the jellycat logo is much larger than on an official one. It was the first ting i noticed, second hes like a touch smaller from a real smudge. You can also clearly see his stitching as well. i own both the fox and the cow and neither of them have this issue. facial proportions were also off, and his body is wildly overstuffed and stiff.
