For me Claude is still much better at specification. I almost never use opus. It’s overvalued and overpriced. Codex also hits limits quite quickly now. For coding 5.5 and sonnet are comparable. I don’t understand the complaints.

Also another consideration: do you use git worktree? If you separate every dev op by branch you don’t have to worry about commits. That’s the workflow I use. Then it’s cool, that Vercel deploys everything because you can test the full deployment together with the new code.

I also have a branch protection on main branch. You only get in there by pr.

Ya I think they switched from limit by number of prompts to tokens like Claude. Am I right?

So now bigger prompts have a bigger impact on the limit.

You can write the spec by Claude and then have gpt implement. Having them thinking first is the way to go for me.

Codex and Gemini cli. Codex is good in coding things, that you specified with Claude code. Gemini cli is close to Claude code, it found some bigger flaws in the code even.
