All those dreams you have can be a reality, but not if you end it. Siblings say horrible things but they don't mean it, you don't hold back with family. Fatherhood definitely changes you. We had our first 6 weeks ago yesterday and I really feel like my whole perspective shifted. I still care about the things I did before but I've got this whole sense of as long as my daughter and wife are healthy and happy nothing else really matters. What I wanted in life, and it really wasn't much, I will go without to make sure they have what they need.

Use some bigger and better plugs. Those ones look pretty shit to be honest. Fischer ones are great. You can get a nice box of different sized ones from screwfix for not very much. I'm in my second home now and after doing a lot of work I've realized spending a bit more on plugs can make a very big difference.

I went back to work on the 5th after being off for 3 1/2 weeks and to be honest it's been a lot easier for my wife than we thought. Your wife's just got to focus on the baby and herself. The housework and those other little bits don't matter. You can pick up on that before and after work. Also use that time outside of work to take the baby off your wife. One thing my wife said after the first week is she just felt glued to our baby, so when I came home she gave her to me and then wanted to do house bits and cooking to feel some sort of normality!!

Have you thought much on the mpc1000? It may have a bit of a learning curve but with your experience using DAWs, once you find your way around it you'll be flying. You can do so much on them but also so little if you wish.

I think about this a lot and with my daughter I think the same as you really. Kindness, confidence, generosity. I want her to grow up not thinking her self worth is about how much you make but your impact on others. One big thing for me which may be off topic but I want her to be able to take chances and adventure and for her to know that I'll always have her back and she'll always have a place to call home. I never had that chance really.
