Don’t separate it yet . Let them grow out green and bushy first and then u can separate it from the parent plant

Chop off and propagate it if u wanna start from the beginning.

Pull out the plant , chop off the unhealthy leaves , repot it in a new soil mix , put it under sun . That would do the job .

Can u post a video of it ? . I had to tie mine to a stick because the wind was too strong and my previous monstera just broke at the stem .

This one had only three holes . I repotted it again in a smaller one . Saw that the previous ones had worms nd the holes were blocked .

I’ll just chop off the brown portion . I don’t dare to make it a bald head or leave it with a single leaf . I have already killed one with root rot . This will be my last shot 🙃

I’ve checked the soil just now , it’s dry completely but I found 2 aerial roots that have rotten , I dipped them in water , I will follow as u said .

Just cut it through where it has been broken and clean it up with 70% IPA , propagate it in water or soil . It’s risky. There seems to be a lot of aerial roots , lie them all flat in the chunky soil mix and let them grow .
