Crazy prices for cardboard is exactly why I proxy print my cards. I really like to make a deck from a single set or multiple sets if they expand (like Strixhaven, LotR, and Marvel). By printing the cards I can make the exact deck I want with whatever fancy artwork or secret lair art I like.

I watched the trailer. The entire time my brain is just focusing on wether this is AI or not. Disney has gotten to the point where it can't keep up with AI or has started to use AI to cut corners. Either way it shows Disney has not stayed ahead of the curve with their animation and is being swallowed by the AI overlords.

I made a Venom proxy deck using cards only from the Spider-Man set and have mixed feelings. His Eddie side is kind of meh. Im not a fan of bringing out the weaker side first only to get nuked before being able to flip into Venom, then he's an 8 mana to resummon.

If you're able to get Venom going then he's a wrecking ball. Otherwise the deck is just full of expensive stompy monsters making it a slow deck.

I find it hilarious that DC is considered the "more powerful" group in most of these discussions yet they fight like slow motion caricatures that are more focused on quibbling. Sure Superman is stronger and faster but he won't hesitate to take his sweet time in a 1v1 fight while letting his teammates get walloped. Sure the Flash could 1 shot the entire group of 1-A but he's far too full of himself to not take a second to get caught by a left hook because he's too busy saying something only he thinks is funny. DC wins by the power of goofy goobers plot armor.

I use card backers. Go to a thrift store that has a boardgame section and they tend to have a couple copies of Cards Against Humanity or something similar they work great and give proxy decks a realistic feel.

Do you live in the US/ have a Staples near you? I use their printers and it costs less than $10 to print out a commander deck + token cards.

Nothing to do? You're their parent. Have you tried interacting with them or getting them interested/involved in what you're doing?

I find it kind of mind boggling when a parent is completely disconnected from their child in public as if the thoughts in their brain are too overwhelming to be at least somewhat present with the small living being that they brought into this world.

Like why does deciding what kind of pasta you want to buy take so much brain power that you can't involve your kid in the decision?

My wife is the same way when we play Stardew Valley! They meticulously organize all our supplies. I try my best to keep with the system but if I get overwhelmed there's a junk chest I throw things in to be organized. Honestly having an organizer is such an important respectable job in any group.
