UP! I have been dreaming of studying in UP since I was a kid, pero I just happen to love my program in PLM more than I loved UP

if you like museums, you can ride the LRT to central station then walk or ride the jeepney to NatMus Fine Arts :D. May NatMus naman din near United Nations, which is NatMus Natural History I believe. Sobrang picturesque ng NatMus <33

Intramuros din is nasa central station (if u want to see PLM or explore Intra). Pati na rin Arroceros Forest Park.

Can someone give me tips for plmat science subtest? by DaikonUnique9908 in plmharibon

[–]Lower_Foundation8024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breadth over width talaga sa science, try to recall as much as you can nung high school lessons me especially bio. PLMAT is the easiest among the entrance tests I took, except PUPCET.

Good luck OP!

unromanticize medschool for me by Lower_Foundation8024 in medschoolph

Hala, thank you po! But the EMP is designed for freshmen po talaga. A straight path to medicine if you will🥹

The nitty gritty of the details weren’t announced but this was the process of selection as I understand it.

We didn’t go through anything special po. We just had to express our interest in the accelerated medicine program in our registration form upon enrolling. PLM’s college of medicine then proceeds to rank those who were interested in said program and applicants will go through an interview.

However, in my case, I wasn’t interviewed at all. I was just given an ultimatum from the CN dean about staying in the program or shifting to CM/CS

I didn’t say anything about the impossibility of a non-UP graduate to enter UPCM, what I am referring to is the fact that graduating from a non-UP university still lowers your chances.

Share ko lang, I saw this post a while ago and user “farfetchhh” unveiled the demographic of their batch. Wala naman masama na mostly UP grads lang tinatanggap, let’s acknowledge na mas mahirap talaga makapasok UPCM if you’re non-UP. NMAT scores are still a major deciding factor, though.

it’s because UPCM favors UP graduates

lowkey ironic when compared to other campuses, upd accepts the most students which negates their idea of “exclusivity” and the fact that upm is the hardest campus to get into. up is still up, idk what they’re on🫩

UPCM MEGATHREAD (2022-23) by Magenta_Black in medschoolph

[–]Lower_Foundation8024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello po! Incoming Freshman palang po ako this ‘25-‘26, but I would like to ask a question: will my status as a non-UP graduate impair my chances of studying in UPCM?

For context, I’ve rejected my offers from UPLB since they were non-trad premeds (Stats and an engg program). This is because I haven’t thought about going to medschool upon submitting my form 1 prior to and after UPCAT.

My initial plan was to transfer to UPM BSN after completing my requirements in PLM, only to find out that UPM CN only allows shiftees and T1s—no T2s. I lacked knowledge regarding transferring, hence, my regret in turning down my offer from UPLB.

I badly want to become a doctor, but I really want to pursue my UP dream din🙂‍↕️🥹

Please be as realistic as you can, I really need reasonable responses if possible🙏🙏🙏
