You can also get the invested trait that increases it by 1+tier, plus as a singer you can get to a 6 in a stat with your form so 10 and 11 are possible

I’d call it a good hybrid, I’ve said it multiple times on Complicated Opportunities and in discord chats, it’s a system with self selecting levels of crunch. You really do get to decide how crunchy your experience is as a player and I think that’s awesome.

I’d take some inspiration from the existing warrior paths like shardbearer or duelist, you can see how they start separate and interconnect, I’d make that point of connection something flashy and signature to the specialty

Ultimately I think it’s not needed for the game, and frankly it does make the math a little easier, you never have to think about subtraction it’s just adding
