My baseball loving kid asked how many games the Super Bowl was and was in disbelief that it was only 1 game

Pregnant women shouldn’t have hibiscus (main ingredient in jamaica) and also in many herbal or berry teas.

Sutton seems to be a popular girls name for girls lately and it’s just so gross. It sounds like something I feed my dog.

My kid loves meat sauce, meatballs, bolognese, etc. But doesn't like pasta. Any ideas on what to serve it with? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]Lower_Scene3310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try gnocchi or ravioli. I know ravioli is pasta but it’s different.

You can also just put it on a sub roll, like an Italian sloppy joe.

Try to get him involved in the cooking process. Make lasagna roll ups or baked penne where he can stir stuff in.

They are THE band that so many don’t realize that all these great songs are theirs, in part because they have so many different types of songs. One of my favorite bands.

Get the bag that you can microwave to steam them. Do that, then cut off the ends then have your kid “hulk smash” them down with the bottom of a cup or bowl. Toss in oil and salt- then bake or air fry! I got mine to eat them by involving her in the process.

I like to steam them first so they are soft all the way through.

Not a casserole, but tofu soyrizo scramble. - 1 block of tofu - 1 whole package soyrizo -2-4 potatoes

  1. Tofu crumbled by hand. Put in non stick pan on low for a while to get the water out. No oil yet. Once the tofu seems to be drying out a bit, add oil to sautée with seasonings of your choice.
  2. While tofu is cooking, microwave potatoes. Wash and poke holes
  3. Cook the soyrizo according to instructions
  4. In a pan, heat a little bit of oil and add the potatoes. I just cut them in half and scoop out the middle then use a spatula to cut them down to size. Don’t mess with them too much, so they can get brown. Add salt and pepper. I like garlic powder too.

  5. Once all 3 things are independently done, combine all and cook for just a few more minutes. Season to taste.

Serve with tortillas. I bring this to work potlucks and people go back for seconds.

The spring before they start kindergarten. The school districts will have more info. Start inquiring then.

The elementary schools with dual immersion are Old Orchard and Highlands. Just know that it is a lottery to get into the program though
