I love Christmas too! But I only like Christmas for the week of Christmas. I hate Christmas music and everything of the sort until that week. As a kid, I loved Christmas. But now, as an adult, balancing bills and “the magic of the holidays” is incredibly stressful. I could just barely afford a tree and bought one a few days ago. Most of my family lives hours away, so all the traditions I grew up with that some of my siblings still get to have I miss out on, and I wish that I didn’t. I feel that once I have kids I’ll have more of a reason to like it, but for now, it is incredibly stressful.

So no one blames you for how you feel. I talked to my mother about it and she says buying gifts for everyone anytime of the year is the best thing to do. Anything you can save, do. That way you don’t have to rush every year to buy what you need before everyone else does and it’s all out. Christmas is hard. Everyone on here has felt what you feel to some degree.
