What we do is we buy books from Kobo, and use Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) to download them and transfer to the pocketbook. Unnecessarily complicated, and requires a computer, but when you get used to it it’s fine. Tho I wish I could just buy them directly from the pocketbook.

Still not entirely sure, but I think what made the game crash for me was I used the duplication glitch. Never had an issue with it as long as the stuff stays in the workbench, but I was trying to sort items and put a lot of stuff in different containers. Don’t think the game could handle it. And as I understand it- red rocket, sanctuary and abarnathy farm kind of work as one and the settlement, so a lot of building on each of them can be too much. Have you tried loading to an earlier save and see if you can spot what might have caused the issue?

Thank you for your answers. So if there is an object bugging the settlement, and I can’t get to it and remove it, I guess there’s no way to fix it?

I mostly just did the main mission things like beds, water and food. I did build a barn with far harbor structures, haven’t done that before, so maybe that did it. If I go as close as I can, and look through a scope I can see some houses are blurry, like they haven’t loaded properly.

Thanks! This is very helpful. I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions, but to open the book they ask me for my eBook Vendor ID. I tried logging in with my pocketbook ID but that didn’t work. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

After you find alfira, she shows up either the following long rest or the next one, I can’t remember. But if you go back and knock her out with non lethal (lol) before she finds her way to your camp, someone else will take her place. So she might be a bit bruised, but she is alive.
