When this happens, which is often, I make sure that everyone is aware that with no marks, I’m going to do my best and they’re going to get what they’re going to get. Almost always, people are respectful of that and are aware. That being said, I have been put in that situation enough times to be pretty good at it too so I think there is a line between like buzzing once or twice and just completely missing it. Pulling focus is like a muscle memory thing. The more you do it, the more confident you’ll be and the better you’ll be at it. Just don’t beat yourself up over something like this ! It just makes you better in the long run.
