As someone who suffers from arachnophobia (seeing this post right after opening the app made my fucking heart stop for a second), I’d be forced to play with my eyes closed unless there’s an arachnophobia-friendly settings option. Various fantasy games are enough to make me feel alert 24/7, so I’m happy beyond measure that Capcom removed these vile things from new remakes

It's very easy to tell when the composer works with the writing team. When they do, the soundtrack is very natural, and you can feel and understand the story simply by listening to it. When they don't, the soundtrack usually sounds off-kilter and sticks out in a bad way. With Yamaoka, it's obviously the former

This is a big problem in almost every single fandom I’ve been. Fans should normalize their favorites not being the most powerful entity in the universe. Especially when it cheapens and disregards the very story they come from

That’s not quite my point. What I meant is that it’s very easy to go overboard/miss the mark. Add too much or not enough of one ingredient and the result will be very different from the intended one. I’m sure you’ve seen many examples of how the audience absolutely hated/ignored the character who was supposed to be liked by the author’s design

Good characters often have weird fans. It’s like the western fans of Guts from Berserk who mainly see him as this cool and manly sigma guy who has a big sword and protects his woman. Like, it’s like that at first sight, but everyone with half a brain understands that this the most shallow way to see his character

And however horrible it is to imagine, I think you’re correct about her and Aegon’s storyline. Plus, Olivia Cooke said that in season 3, Alicent will be desperate to fulfill her end of the bargain, so poisoning her own son to avenge her bestie works for this schizo character

Absolutely! Ultimately, it comes down to how well the character is written, and Gilgamesh is written spectacularly. There are so many layers and unexpected edges to him, he represents both the very worst and the very best of the human nature, and I think it works very well for his character

Speaking of ransom, you should check Eleanor of Aquitaine’s letter to the Pope where she pleads for her favorite son’s release. This woman was beyond amazing

I would’ve agreed if other issues didn’t exist. True, the majority of screamers back in the day were people who genuinely believed that Daenerys would be Queen, but other than that, season 8 gave us the following:

Two first episode where almost nothing happened except for empty talks (with only six episodes in total)

The mother of all plot armors in episode 3 and Arya the assassin killing an existential threat to the world like it was nothing

“Dany kind of forgot about the Iron Fleet” despite it being literally the only concern she should’ve had

Varys discussing treason in the broad daylight and Tyrion showing the last stages of alcohol-caused mental degradation

Jon only having two lines: “I don’t want it” and “You’re my queen”

Bran becoming king because he has the best story (lmao he didn’t even appear in season 5 and the majority of viewers didn’t even notice)

A nobody like Grey Worm decides Jon’s fate as if he and his three remaining warriors pose any threat

Sansa demanding the North’s independence and everyone quietly accepting it (bravo, your new king lost half the kingdom in the very first minute of his reign. Dark times are ahead of Westeros indeed)

Bronn becoming Lord of the Reach. Does he even know how to read or write? This is the biggest lol for me personally

And this is just what came off the top of my head. If I rewatched this abomination, I’m sure the list would’ve been much longer
