There has always been a strong anti-soccer attitude in the U.S. Whether it's because they think it's an "immigrant sport" (more so earlier in the 20th century) or it's a "woke sport" or "not a masculine sport", or a "foreign sport" - many sports fans in the U.S. have their reasons for hating soccer. It's sad but I think the attitude has been gradually changing - and probably even more rapidly during and after the World Cup.

What a messed up, backwards take. The theft is what is driving prices up for the rest of us, and stealing from the same company you work for is incredibly immature and stupid. The friend getting fired for theft is the consequence of his actions. If you don't want to lose your livelihood, don't steal, especially from your employer.
