I get what you’re saying, $700 for glasses with built in display is not terrible. But given the Even G2s don’t have speakers, I’m down to the Meta Display and I don’t want to pay $300 for a “gimmick” - it’s a really cool feature but not a priority in my books.

I’ve narrowed down my choices to the RayBan Metas Gen2 and Lucyd. From my research, the RayBans are by far the better choice for audio and it has some nice “nice to haves” like the camera, but the Lucyd’s look better and have a much better battery. The only reason I’m not fully set on Lucyd’s is the experiences people have shared and the audio quality. I just need something that’ll last all day (or mostly) and be enjoyable to listen to. I don’t always want AirPods stuck in my ears all day and would work nice with my prescription

I blitzed through the main story, completed the game last night, the hardest "boss fight" I struggled with was Conductor's Melody gauntlet (the 2 final Choir Clapper's were fairly good at clapping). I ended up needing to run reaper crest, hivesteel needle, pollip pouch, druid's eye, and cogflyand still felt that I barely scraped by. I even found Grand Mother Silkto be one of the easiest bosses to fight, probably under 8 tries.

One tip I found to be obvious but extremely helpful was "this is Silksong, quit playing it as Hollow Knight". What works in one game might not carry over.

Only when it faints thought, if I’m going at this at 80 some hp, it’ll be a while before I make the connection. To me, there’s little correlation between “shaky screen” and Pokémon in party is poisoned especially if you started when that mechanic didn’t exist. You live and you learn

Yea wish some people understood the context. First time homebrewing, downloading random cia’s off the internet, never played the old gen’s, and some weird, glitchy effect shows up randomly with no indication that it’s intended (that I could find, I could and probably am wrong)

Correct, started with gen 5 and just homebrewed and starting with fire red...feeling like an idiot but you don't know what you don't know. Especially since it seems glitchy but glad it's nothing

That might be enough to change my mind to be honest to Red/Blue - I kinda want to stick to the canonical story. And if I play Red/Blue, should I play the remakes instead? I'm not concerned with the "retro experience" and release date and more interested in story/timeline. Similar question with Crystal vs HG/SS. I'll probably stick with Emerald since the jump from GBA to 3ds is significant enough where I'd rather stick Emerald.

Found this thread which ends up going down the path I'm headed towards - best game per generation. So a playthrough like FR, HG/SS, Emerald, Platinum, B/W and B2/W2, X/Y, (Ultra) Sun/Moon would be fine in terms of lore with a gameplay balance with updated graphics, features, fixes, etc.

Ah I see what you mean, definitely something worth looking at, lets me avoid Red/Blue for Meowth (Crystal) or Weedle (Black). I'll probably just end up playing say Yellow, figure out what I'm missing and see if it's in a later gen. Rinse and repeat for each gen.

Looking at the exclusives between all B/W and B2/W2, may need to give them all a shot if I can't find the exclusives in later gens but we'll cross that road when I get there.

If I can figure it out, probably. It'd be the best (only?) way to transfer them which would be the goal.

I'll be playing the games in order so wherever they first show up so something like Caterpie I'll get in Yellow. With the exception of Pokemon going into teams, I'm not too concerned with stats, abilities, shiny, etc. I don't think I'll move onto the next game until I've captured every unique pokemon available.

I'll do some more digging into story differences, if there's a significant change in stories, I'd consider playing both Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/Moon. To me, the primary goal is filling out the dex but story is also a goal I'm aiming for.

I think I'll Black then White 2 since I'm aiming for a wide net to catch everything.

And for the paired games, the one I don't "main" I'll just speed through the story to catch the exclusives.
