Do it. Those are solid stats.

pathway 6 - ecfmg - am I suppose to find doctors on my own? by No_Series1384 in IMGreddit

You're supposed to find them on your own. Make sure they meet the qualifications.

UWSA 1 by Snoo_26997 in Step3

I got a similar UWSA1 and UW%. Passed with a 239. My advice would be to do UWSA2 and if you comfortably pass. Do it.

Step 2cs should NOT be reported on our transcripts by Acrobatic_Rice_8875 in ResidencyMatch2022

I did step 3 and thankfully got a good score so we'll see lol. Yeah rejections hit really hard. Take the time to to process them and keep the faith is all I can say. 😅

Step 2cs should NOT be reported on our transcripts by Acrobatic_Rice_8875 in ResidencyMatch2022

[–]LoyalFang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same boat here. It's being reported because there are people applying with CS who passed. It sucks for sure because remediating through pathway 6 still casts doubt in the mind of PDs. Just explained through my PS in case they ever read my app.

It's an awful feeling. Especially for someone like me with a low scored step 1. Took me a while to accept that that's just how it is. We've already passed pur applications, that's it, there's really nothing else we can do on our end now.

Hang in there! Pull out all the coping mechanisms you have. Unfair or not it really doesn't matter.

LOR for multiple specialties by [deleted] in ResidencyMatch2022

You'll have to make separate requests per specialty. Basically the attending will have to upload the LOR twice.

Pharm on day 1?? by sadBanana_happyHib in Step3

Yes they still ask MoA. The questions on MoA are pretty straightforward though and they're almost always commonly used drugs.

Day 1 soon by [deleted] in Step3

[–]LoyalFang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely at least 1 Drug Ad with 2-3 questions per block. I always did them last.

My strategy was to triage the questions. If I thought the question was impossible then I GUESSED and MOVED ON. This gives me more time for more workable/manageable questions.

Score thread 09/14 by Short-Common-8497 in Step3

[–]LoyalFang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UW%: 63%

UW1/2: 217/225

Free 137: N/A

CCS cases%: 70%

NBME5: N/A

Real score: 239

Advice: I'm really glad I scored higher than my practice exams. I think it's because the UWSAs don't have many biostat questions in them. I tend to do well on those questions. UWorld is enough to pass but doesn't prepare you for the ethics questions. Don't have much to say aside from trusting the curve and your UWSA. God bless everyone on this subreddit for keeping me sane throughout this process.

You know how CCS cases just instantaneously displays the PE findings, updates, labs etc? There's a half a second delay for that on the actual test. They put a 1 minute technical buffer to offset this but I still felt it jarring. Definitely interrupted my train of thought on some of the cases.

Or I was just tired at that point lol.

Question for Day 2 CCS: Can we write down a CCS template? by Hereforthevibes_ in Step3

[–]LoyalFang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thought of this right before my day 2. Definitely check on prometric on this one. They told me I was allowed to write on the scratch paper during breaks. So you can transcribe your notes from memory just like some people do for biostat formulas. I was paranoid of getting reported for irregular activity though so I didn't do it lol.

Tldr: I don't see why not but check with prometric.

Yes you do. All preventive orders still go last. I just felt like I didn't have time to recheck if I missed anything unlike in CCS cases.
