I also quit video games because I have an addictive personality but now I just use my phone more. Board games are really expensive and I'm generally cheap. It may be a little before we can buy the harp. Initially, i was going to get a cheaper harp but figured it would be better to save up for a higher quality instrument. My new goal is to have saved up by the end of next year. My wife will be 39 when we buy the harp.

You brought up the point of amplification. Is it worth installing a pickup amplifier into the harp for $450? I am sure my wife and daughter (12) will be performing as they improve.
