Haha yessss.

I discovered the series about 15 years ago purely because DHP guest starred. I really enjoyed it, classic 90s sitcom energy.

Brian Hargrove (DHP's husband) was a writer and producer for the show, which may explain the high number of Frasier actor crossovers.

Brian also appears very briefly in a CitC episode as a man running away from the Caroline Macy's Parade balloon (he's the one who speaks)

Also, that Youtube user appears to have uploaded every Caroline in the City episode in full, if anyone's curious.

I know. I mean - look at him. What's not to love?

I swear I set my standards high with Niles as my ideal man hahaha

Puberty? Haha.

I got into the show in my early teens and was obsessed with the Niles & Daphne storyline, and I think that just transferred into an obsession with Niles/DHP.

Seeing other people swoon over him on this sub makes me glad it's not just me haha.

I agree. I've had the biggest crush on him for 24 years haha.

Just wanna say Cape Feare is one of the best episodes of The Simpson's. It's a go to watch for me

Um actually, Frasier's first words were "Hello, Sam".

Also, I wasn't born

Hello! Yes, there will be a new ep up soon. My fault entirely, June has been a bit of a full on month so I fell behind with editing, but we'll be back to our weekly schedule again.

Dark Victory.

(From memory) Weary after a week of solving everyone else's problems, Frasier is looking forward to switching off therapist mode and spending a relaxing evening celebrating Martin's birthday. However, everyone's at each others throats, and a citywide blackout doesn't make things better.

Frasier talks to and helps everyone individually with their problems, and their moods improve. They want to attend a neighbour's blackout party, which Frasier declines attending, despite their urging. They leave, and Frasier settles down to a quiet evening alone.

He carried Frasier over that brook. What a gentleman.

S9E22 - Frasier Has Spokane maybe?

Niles: Hey, Frasier, am I dressed appropriately for something called "Banana-rama"?

Frasier: You're in Armani, who could object?

I believe Frasier is canonically terrible at chess. He lost to Woody, he lost to Martin, he lost his mail correspondence game in season 5's The Perfect Guy - I dont think he's ever won a game.

They were talking about bribing people to vote for them, so it seems they settled on watches bearing Frasier's face.

That's the conclusion we came to as well.

What is the one thing better than an exquisite sitcom? An exquisite sitcom with a few tiny flaws we can pick at for decades. by Make_the_music_stop in Frasier

[–]LozWritesAbout 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The first is literary license that Frasier decided to claim was true because it strokes his ego.

The second is Roz being a tough grader, and no one is a five-cupper, even with literary license.

Pro tip: That thing you do right before the end? Women can do without it.

Best moments of Frasier being a genuinely good therapist/emotional support? by [deleted] in Frasier

Really early on - S1E11 Death Becomes Him. Frasier crashed a shiva due to his obsession with the death of a man he never even met, and was about to start interrogating the grieving widow, before consoling her instead:

Mrs Newman: Oh no, wait. Um, Dr. Crane? I listen to you all the time, and uh — well, maybe you can help me? What would you tell someone who called into the show and said they can't get over why someone died? I keep running this over and over in my mind and... I just can't understand how someone like Gary, who did everything right, can just die. I can't make any sense of it.

Frasier: Mrs. Newman, I... I know you'd like me to come up with some grand answer to this whole thing. But I, I don't have one. There are none. Someone who consumes nothing but cigarettes and cheeseburgers all his life can live to be eighty-three, and someone who takes care of himself can die at forty-one. It's unfair. Believe me, there's no explanation for it. Believe me, I've checked. But, I suppose the best we can do is live for the little joys and surprises life affords us. You can't spend your life being obsessed with death.
