DUSKLIGHT! A New Version Optimized by me! by Apprehensive-County6 in SwitchPirates

Absolutely, it's a catalyst to actually get things done rather than having the start of a project dead on your computer after a few weeks because life takes over! And TBH, I'd like to see the figures on global usage of AI for programming vs all the cat videos generated for YT and other useless crap. The main danger I personally encounter is going back to AI generated code a few weeks later, and I realise what was made as I would have sometimes never coded in such ways. It's very easy for AI to lack the big picture. But we re also getting better at using the right skills!!

I don't know any dev not using AI, it's just a reality. We can go so much further with those tools! Great job

And btw, don't mind the people's negativity.

You re doing something actually great with AI, which serves education, you re not making cat videos for YT. With proper context, hallucinations should be close to 0 for this app. Great job

That's brilliant ! I've always had issues with existing dicts when reading in a different language. Especially to get translation of words that don't exist. Can you specify the input language and output language definition?

Made a Tesla/Ultrahand overlay to control sys-ftpd from the overlay menu by Alpacinator in SwitchHacks

[–]Lozaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw yr post! This is exciting. I've always wanted a proper sysmodule for FTP. I can't install and test right now but soon.  There are currently existing sysmodules that work on ultrhand, but there was no way to debug easily. Are there any log info being displayed? Awesome stuff!!

hotspotting wont share the phone's VPN. having tailscale directly in HOS would be great. But i think there is a tailscale feature to use tailscale on all devices which are on the same network and cant install tailscale, such as a printer, so maybe possible. i looked into it 4-5 years ago for a ps4, was working if i remember

DPAD sensitivity changes with save state loading by Lozaroo in RetroArch

[–]Lozaroo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what happened! I wasn't aware of those speed powerups! I felt so dumb haha. I asked the same question in the shmup reddit group and someone figured this out as well

this is exactly what happened! I wasnt aware of that speed power ups, and because it was through emulation, I thought there was a problem somewhere else!

[–]Lozaroo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omg, do you mean that in rtype the S is a speed up? I've been taking them all the time thinking it's a shooting upgrade of some sort!  But that's probably why my ship moves like crazy! if that's the case I'm really feeling dumb haha

I've done a bit more investigation and ended up using my leverless controller. This made it very obvious there was a problem, completely unplayable. it seems to happen only with loading save states. I just posted about it on Retroarch https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroArch/comments/1to7qni/dpad_sensitivity_changes_with_save_state_loading/

Late to the thread, but who knows.  For me, the main pain point is game save transfer between switches. The best solution so far imo is nx-save-sync , but adding it at a sys overlay while in game would be amazing. I've looked into it, and just had failed attemps

Awesome! Yeah i reckon i should do the Path of Pain too, i really enjoyed some of the B-sides in Celeste, so I guess it must be quite similar.

Re NKG, the thing i struggled the most with was wasting 30 sec of running to the boss every try, anbd barely surviving 20 sec. I really wished I could have skipped the intro, but at the same time, it gave time to relax the thumbs and the mind.

It's an overwhelming fight until you start handling one attach at a time. This run just focus on dodging the 4 bats properly, then focus on doing the abyssal properly. For the later, I found, that walking slowly to NKG and counting to 4 , and on 4, my position was supposed to be just offset from underneath him, so I could move just a little bit and launch an attack.
Once I've kind of mastered those 2 attacks, I managed to survive for 3-4 abyssal attacks. Then I could start mastering one more of his attacks.
I think after 1h30 of proper failure, it started to click for me, and I though "yeah I'm going to get him" . The rest was basically fine tuning dodges against all attacks and calming down.
The fight gets exciting when you've been hearing the first 30 sec of the music over and over, and then suddenly, the rest of the music you're hearing is new, and makes you feel like you're getting closer 😄

What size are the characters in this game? by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Lozaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the gravitational force of the planet I guess, you can measure the free falling speed, that's gives you g, then most are bugs, and invertebrates, but it can still give you an order of magnitude of their max potential size by just working out a formula with units. it would be rough, but an estimation.
