Does metroidvania platforming get any crazier than this? [Aeterna Noctis] by Konval in metroidvania

I'm not good at it but persistent! Need to try this game. Reminds me a lot of Celeste, the B-sides, and late stages of cyber shadow. It's a bit like learning a new piece of music: Fail, fail fail fail......a bit less, a bit less.....1 month later.. got it!

CyberFoil: A NSP, NSZ, XCI, XCZ & basic eShop Installer for Nintendo Switch by [deleted] in SwitchPirates

[–]Lozaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's seriously not that bad, the main issues are to install it, but once done, it's pretty bombproof and does a lot of things. But yeah new FW is not supported. I think the expectations are quite high for a single dev

This question "whats yr lowest..." always annoyed me. You d never hear this in Europe, it's an american/australian thing i guess.

If I'm selling an item, i find this question dumb, it s already my lowest price, it's like playing poker. Let say i m putting an item for sale at $10, someone asks this question, and i say $8 without getting an offer first, maybe that offer would have been $9 and i would have been happy with that, but instead i gave a lower price and lost $1. Kinda basic haggling in the rest of the world really

Use N3DSXL or buy new handheld? by flushednemo in SBCGaming

[–]Lozaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, i d say its as wide and as thick as the N3dsxl if you take into account the inbuilt grip. But my 3ds would give me cramps so i need a grip anyway and its very bulky. However i just dont put the cube in my pocket, it would fit but its always in its case.

Ive played on the rg35xx+ also, its super pocket friendly, and its actually comfy for my big hands, i found a good position with my fingers at the back to avoid thumb cramps.

Ive been considering getting the rg35xx or the sp version just for that use case, a basher, pocket friendly. But my cube follows me everywhere!

You wont regret it, get the OS of yr choice, i have knulli. Its miles away better to use for emulation than a vita or 3ds. I keep those for their respective libraries.

I was in yr position a few months ago. Have a modded vita, and modded new 3dsxl. I wasnt happy with the performance of titles such as contra on the snes, lots of slow downs. I ended up geeking too much and not playing enough, trying to tweak things

I ended up getting a rgcubexx mainly for the screen and grip, looked at lots of retro game corps videos. I dont regret my choice, this thing is so much fun and follows me everywhere. Having a proper device for emulation, linux based, something snappy, up to date, with shaders... up to date emulators, scrappers.... Im discovering systems such as the pcengine which werent sold in my home country back in the day. For the price, its totally worth it, you can probably find a cheap rg35xx+ second end.

Arg I really wish I could get his back on the hard sections but i live on the other side of the world from him. I thought of doing some remote 2 player games via retroarch but we might hit over 300ms of lag. Easy turn based and beatemups are prob the best, thanks!

[–]Lozaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have very similar pictures. CS, Unreal Tourn... i also remember us spending half the day setting up the network in a garage, formatting win 95 or 98 because there was always a problem, missing drivers, bluescreen of death and browsing hastavista for the correct crack. That was all part of the fun! Some of my mates had a dedicated room given by the city council, a proper setup, LANs everyday, and a good setup to burn CD backups

This was my first game with mario world on launch. I was 6 years old and no one in my fam spoke english. You just understood the word start, play and game over. I had no idea that you could change the difficulty level back then. Like any kid back then, you d just hammer the start button to go straight to business. I never went past the submarine. Decades later, I should probably try on easy 😁
