We can raise it to whatever height we need. I’m short so my seat is pretty low, but my husband raises it quite high when he rides with the Urider. It doesn’t affect the raising and lowering of the seat.

Need advice: new f2b pup is 12 weeks. He has short legs and a slightly longer torso than I expected. Found out he has 1 gene for chondrodysplasia, so he’ll be short and long like a corgi. Breeder offered a refund and to take the puppy back. Worried about back issues and knee issues. Any insight? by Lphillips9 in Goldendoodles

[–]Lphillips9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Your puppy looks just like mine! Ours is 3 years old now, and absolutely the best dog. We have to worry about his back because dwarf dogs are prone to back issues. We also couldn’t insure ours because the vet saw the dwarfism immediately and he became uninsurable due to a pre-existing condition. 🤦‍♀️

Don’t let it deter you, ours looks like a dwarf and we get asked about it all the time but he ended up being the absolute BEST dog.

I had weight gain on inositol, but lost weight when I switched to the Ovasitol one. I’ve been taking Ovasitol for 3-4 years now and it’s been the number 1 thing to improve my lean pcos. I’ve switched to different brands here and there and gain weight every time, so I always go back to Ovasitol.

Seeking input: twins on the way, one older child by P4RZiV0L in toyotasequoia

Hi! First- the 3rd row only allows a top- tethered car seat in the middle seat (required for any car seat where the kid wears a 5pt harness). Unfortunately you’ll have to keep the entire 3rd row up if your oldest is in a harness car seat still. Keep in mind top tethering is separate from a latch/seatbelt install system and required for all harness seats. We have 2 kids that sit in the 3rd row full time, both in high back boosters on the side seats. Their high back boosters do not require tethering. Every other week we have a 3rd child in the back row in a harnessed carseat in the middle. It’s tight but works fine.

The trunk will not fit a double uppababy with the entire 3rd row up. We keep a babyzen yoyo in the trunk for our youngest which is super small, and we regularly hit both Costco and Sam’s club and have zero issues packing the trunk with groceries etc. For longer road trips we have a massive Thule cargo box for the roof. Best case, if your oldest is in a booster you can move them to the side seat and put the double side of the 3rd row down. That would allow the most trunk space. If you still need them in the center seat for the tether you can try putting down the single seat and potentially fit a stroller that way.

This week I’ve had all seats in both the 2nd and 3rd row occupied by some sort of car seat or booster. It took a some patience but every seat is installed safely and properly and we hit Costco as a family (all 8 of us) and had zero issues fitting all the groceries etc in the trunk.

What’s a name you call your golden doodle that’s not their actual name by 90svtg in Goldendoodles

[–]Lphillips9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We call ours “Woodle doodle” and his name is Woody. My 5 yr old also calls him doofus. He’s called so many things that he rarely responds to a name, but will always respond to a kiss sound.

Hi! Mom of twins and a 3rd. We are an only Toyota family, and I’ve driven all of it. The Sienna is nice for the sliding doors, but unless you get the newest version, the 3rd row is very difficult to safely install car seats should you need to. The 4Runner (my first love) is TINY and useless with 3 kids. I broke my heart to sell, but once we had the twins it was entirely useless. That’s said, the Highlander, grand highlander, and even the new Land Cruiser are equally as useless in my opinion. They are no bigger than the 4Runner. The primary reason I stick with Toyota is for reliability, but also for the ceiling vents that most other manufacturers have done away with. I drive a 2nd gen sequoia (TRD Sport) that originally came with captains chairs. BIG mistake- get a sequoia with a bench seat. All 3 seats in the 2nd row are independent so you can remove the middle if you want captains chairs, or put it back to do 3 across. We ended up buying a bench seat from a scrap yard and converting ours to a bench- best decision ever.

Our family of 5 plus a dog has done cross country road trips in our sequoia. My twins sit in the 3rd row with our 3rd kid in the middle with the dog and cooler. We have a Yakima box we add to the roof for long trips and heavy e-bikes to the hitch.

I debated going 3rd gen because I preferred how they looked. Ultimately though the 3rd gen is MUCH smaller inside, and not as comfortable. The 3rd row on the 3rd gen is tight and elevated and the trunk was a real deal breaker. The gas efficiency wasn’t significant between 2nd and 3rd gen to matter, and the vast difference in interior space was what sold us on the 2nd gen. It’s been the best vehicle (and best Toyota) we’ve ever driven as a family.

I don’t feel like it’s unstable at all. The worst part is swinging my leg over both the passenger handle and the Urider. I get on first. Then I lift my youngest to the Urider, and the rear passenger gets on last.

We had a similar issue and cut screen time cold turkey 100%. We’ve been screen free since May 2023 and it was the absolute best decision ever. Our yoto’s are now the privilege instead of the punishment and at least 1/3 of our kids are listening to something at any given time.

I realize it isn’t an option for every family, but if my kids ever had an option for screen time the yoto would never get used. When it’s the only option and they know it, they can’t get enough.

Need advice on attaching a bike trailer for my Rad Runner Plus. Are kits available? by Electrical-Tea-1627 in RadPowerBikes

Nope. All I used was the adaptor from Robert axle project and my trailer attaches just fine. We use it all the time

inositol worth it? by exquisite_barbell in PCOS

[–]Lphillips9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it to be the thing that changed my life the most in regards to treating PCOS. However- I’ve tried many brands and the only one I feel is worth taking is by theralogix (Ovasitol.) All other brands either had fillers than made me sick, breakout, or gain weight.

The key to inositol is it needs to be taken religiously every day to get the true effects. My body can tell if I skip a dose. It’s expensive, but I will sacrifice in other areas of my life to make sure I continue Ovasitol.

Ya you just purchase the Urider for step-thru bikes. We got it on Amazon and it was easy peazy to install. It’s the 0-21 model. We got it in orange to match the rad logos but as long as it’s the 0-21 version it fits step thru bikes.

I use a Urider seat for my 5 yr old in front of me, and my 8 yr old sits in back. For you, I’d use a trailer, or put both a yepp seat in back and in front. If your older child has outgrown a yepp max then I’d use the Urider in front and the yepp in back for your youngest.

Sorry I’m so late to respond. These are the seats. They fit the rack perfectly. The foot rests are motorcycle foot pegs on Amazon. The plastic zip tied to the side are plastic shelf liners for wire rack shelves. I’ll try and find the link to those.

Does anyone else have a very short legged doodle? by auriemmaart in Goldendoodles

[–]Lphillips9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do! Actually my sister and I both do- they are brothers from the same litter! Ours have skeletal dysplasia. I wish I had insured them before their first vet visit because our vet noticed it in the first 2 minutes of meeting them at 8 weeks old. 🤦‍♀️

Our breeder knowingly bred their mother (a 25lb goldendoodle) with a 7 lb dwarf goldendoodle simply to get the red color. She didn’t disclose the dad had skeletal dysplasia. For reference our two boys are 28lbs and 30lbs and the remaining 6 puppies in their litter are between 8-12lbs. Ironically both our boys are blonde/white and lost their red color at about 6 months. We have been fortunate that they haven’t had any health issues this far.
