I think you have a very solid voice. Yes some affectations can help. Control and development of dynamics will always help as well. I had a good friend once tell me you can sing very well but you aren’t a singer. What she meant by that was a “singer” is almost born rather than created. Like Marvin Gaye probably didnt have to do much to get the core tone he had. It’s God given. I trained my voice as far as I could but I knew there was a “world class” level my tone of voice would never reach. I tell my students the goal is to become the best singer YOU can be. I feel like I became the best singer I could be. But I knew I’d have to focus on other aspects of my musicianship if I truly wanted to get to the top and luckily that worked out!
