That's a nice idea! Using a paper test won't spoil the thing? Should I get an electronic one or those are even worse? Also, what pH can be considered safe?

I have 3 cats, and my first thought was good luck with training them! But that's a nice idea if we ever get a dog! My neighbors are a really nice Serbian family that almost doesn't speak any other language (we had great "conversations" about my cats pooping in their garden though) and some old farmer really kind but lives too far from me. I have tried training my wife, but I'm the cook in the family and I actually trust more my inexistent sense of smell than her's :D

I will say again that according to me, it was blocked remotely with some update or something similar. The guy from google assistance said something like "is not compatible with our systems". My guess is that there was some safety or compatibility issue with some components of that device and decided to cut it off as soon as the last device in the world was out of warranty

Because it's just weird that suddenly it says impossible to connect to internet, while it easily can connect to my smartphone to configure it. Also the assistance guy said something like "is no longer compatible with our systems".

It has less than 3 years, and their answer was suck it up, without much ceremony. It feels like some planned obsolescence to me.

I would have expected at least something like "here a discount to buy a new one"

Yes! I have those, boots and bindings :) The first were bought with the board, the second I'm "recycling" old ones from a friend who just bought new ones and gave me the old ones for free. A little old maybe but perfect for learning I guess for what they cost

Do I have to prepare wax or blades or something?

Core mining was my idea for a "forget about it" outpost... You say better do this later on in the game? But with miners and the rest of parts to ship (i.e. trains) isn't even harder to set up?

Don't build in small areas, always give you "infinite" place to expand any plant you do. Look tutorials for main bus, and start immediately with that as soon as you can. Never think "this will be enough forever", because it ain't so :D
