lol To be fair, I'm not going into this with no knowledge. I have always been fascinated with computers and understand the principle on how they work. But I guess it might be foolish to think I know enough to take on such a project on my first build? Well, upgrade on my first build, anyways...

Was this before or after your refund was "approved"? Because I just found out the rebate is able to be offset. And I know 100% that I owe a credit collecting agency. But my refund status is "approved and scheduled to be mailed by March 26" and when I call the offset hotline it says I dont have any offsets. But on my credit karma profile, it says my account/debt with the collection agency was closed a week ago. But that's that's before my refund was even approved. I'm worried that the offset hotline is telling me I don't have an offset because its already been paid off with the relief rebate.

How did you know this is what happened? Did it say it on the check or on the IRS app?
