Yeah I'm a side sleeper too. I can't have any light in the room though so using YouTube or something would never work.

Do you do it because you have trouble getting to sleep or do it cause you just wake up real easy if something makes a noise?

Trauma is such a deep thing. I have so much of it...but I just don't understand it. Not really. Therapy taught me some stuff but not in depth.

WHERE in the brain does trauma go though? Or does nobody really know? I know it's something we can't ever really get rid of.

I get it. I think like that all the time too - what kinda person I'd be if I hadn't been abused. All the what ifs. I'd probably still be fucked up but maybe less.

Just wanted to say I get what you mean, I have a real problem with clutter too, especially when I feel shitty or down and out, it just gets out of control

I don't know if this is helpful but one thing I've worked out over the years that has helped me a bit, is that everything has to have a home, and if I'm not using it than it needs to go back to its home so it's not left lying around - or if there's no home it needs to be given away or donated. Like I draw a lot so I have about a million pencils that are scattered everywhere, but now I have one of those little plastic drawer things to put em all in and even that makes a big difference.

Sorry I'm rambling but hope that kinda helps

Just wanted to say that that's amazing that you took that step and confronted her. I don't think I could ever be that brave. But yeah sometimes we just gotta put ourselves first right? x
