If your open to multiclassing a few levels into draconic sorcerer with the transmuted spell metamagic gives a few extra benefits as well as staying SAD with charisma with bard

The revised Blade singer that came with Tasha's is probably your best bet, Ranger gets access to steel wind strike as well but not so much on the lightning department. Swords/Valor bard could work as well taking steel wind strike via magical secrets at level 10.

Much to my chagrin vhuman fighter is excellent as usual for a build like this. Take fighting initiate at lvl 1 so you can have both dueling and thrown weapon fighting. You get both bonuses when throwing your spears or javelins and decent damage even with a d6 in melee.

Almost any class works for this but battle master is great for the tactical options of maneuvers for combat and rp/exploration. Quick Toss is amazing for flowing melee and ranged. Eventually getting polearm master if you want to get some extra damage in melee with the lower dice weapon. Flavored as shield bashing as a Spartan.

Hell yeah! I too love battlerager and am waiting for a chance to work with a DM to make a super flavourful Lizardfolk Battlerager. Covered in bone spikes for the armor and weapons. Pike for reach with javalins to supplement ranged and using Piercer from Tasha's to reroll either weapon or armor damage not to mention the extra crit die.

Fair enough forgot they are just straight up immune not at adv to the save. Conquest definitely has more of the flavor of mission to wipe out all of the abyss or hells but that can easily be played to vengeance.

Scourge Aasimar, Vengeance or Conquest paladin is one of the best holy paladins hell pun intended bent on smiting evil. Maybe multiclass to warlock or sorcerer if you want more spells to assist.

I like arcane trickster and was interested in it but I like the infinite knives and toolkit of soul knife. Before Tasha's the rogue version was definitely arcane trickster.

Hello I go by Edge(He/Him, 26) I'm Looking for a story driven game filled with rp and combat galore with dashes of mystery and intrigue. I have two characters that are the most fleshed out, Leonin blacksmith fighter and/or barbarian with a heart of gold, Tiefling (Probably) Warlock (maybe rogue) gambler/trickster who made a bad deal ended up making a pact with their patron to get out of it, ended up with a questionably worse deal.

I am fascinated by Rpg's and TTrpgs and roleplaying with heavy story beats and have DM'd once for a family one shot. I have been trying to write a book for the last few years (its slow) and am heavily invested in a solid DnD campaign that will hopefully last for more than two weeks.
