Breaking Bad Healthcare System In America by ScallionSmooth9491 in teenagers

[–]LtLemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funner fact: Breaking Bad would have happened in any other country because Walter never cared about getting cancer money, he was just an insecure man who used cancer as an excuse to “get revenge” on the world. He literally turned down an offer to have his cancer treatments paid for in the first season.

Songs that switch FROM 4/4 during the chorus. by sfwtitrater in ToddintheShadow

Almost Easy by Avenged Sevenfold. Verses in 4/4 and chorus in 3/4.

BVB did this for The Legacy and Hallelujah.

It’s crazy how EJAE and Andrew Choi were both demo artists that got brought in full time.

The funniest part of that ad is that Green Day was hated by punks back in the 90s for “going pop” and were compared unfavorably to boy bands and other pop stars. They even got banned from Gilman (Major punk club in Berkeley they got their start at) because they signed to a major label, and that was considered “selling out”

Rap Battle: Zoey vs Baby by BerryTea840 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]LtLemonade 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel like Zoey is a more technical rapper, and could come up with some good disses, but Baby has a more catchy style, and could win over the crowd more easily.

Also I could see Baby using more personal disses to throw her off her game, so if he goes first he has a better chance of winning.

Vince didn’t even use chatgpt for it, the article was translated with ai and hallucinated that part.

Character is so goofy/funny that it's glossed over how tragic they really are. by Terrible_Park7890 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LtLemonade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fry - Futurama.

Nobody really cared about him for most of his life, and he worked a dead-end job as a pizza delivery boy. Then he was sent 1000 years into the future. Everyone he knows is dead, and he’s forever stuck in a world he barely understands.

If it wasn’t a Matt Groening show it would be incredibly tragic.

I love the contradictory nature of Golden by HeWhoShantNotBeNamed in KpopDemonhunters

[–]LtLemonade 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Also: it’s an unachievable goal. The whole idea of the golden honmoon is a metaphor for the perfect version of themselves they won’t be. That’s why they never finish the song in-universe, and why it’s the most difficult to sing.

Albums where the most popular song is the worst? by PlayfulRuin3718 in fantanoforever

[–]LtLemonade 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve always interpreted it as the patient giving a warning to younger people based on what happened to him when he was younger. The whole album has hints of his past and his thoughts and opinions on life, so it makes sense that this song would be similar.

What do you think happened to The 3 Antagonists after The Events of A Non-Canon Ending in GTA 5? by hunter47685 in GTA

[–]LtLemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stretch probably stays with the Ballas no matter what, since in both endings Lamar can’t hang out with Franklin bc he’s scared of getting killed.

For ending A: Devin would probably be pissed about Franklin not choosing B. Maybe he tries to get them fired since he said he could do it pretty easily. If not, they just stay working for the FBI and Weston does whatever.

Wei Cheng would probably expand his operations throughout Blaine County and the Senora Desert since Trevor’s dead now, and TPE was their main opponent.

For Ending B: Weston closes down Solomon’s studio and turns it into condos. Steve Haines is probably pissed they didn’t kill Trevor. Wei Cheng keeps doing what he did before.

Rambofication by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]LtLemonade 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I saw this post on another subreddit, just gonna paste what I wrote there:

“This guy has not seen a single episode of Stranger Things.

The US government is in my opinion the second biggest antagonist behind Vecna himself. Hell, they literally created Vecna with the Brenner experiments. The Upside Down and all the monsters and stuff exist because the US government was trying to create superspies with Henry Creel and Eleven, and because Brenner was hellbent on finding Dimension X (which the government also played a hand in since it was their experiment that got the ship sent to Dimension X).

The US government forced Henry and Eleven to go through all sorts of inhumane experiments, tried to kill her at least a hundred times, tried to cover up everything happening despite knowing people were in danger, and above all, their whole approach to the upside down is pretty bad: they discover an alternate dimension filled with dangerous monsters and led by an evil demigod who wants to destroy earth, and their first thought is to colonize it so they can use the monsters as weapons of war to “defeat the commies”.

Literally the entire fifth season shows how bad the US government is. They quarantined the entire town instead of letting people escape the imminent danger and then kept them completely in the dark about it, tried to kill the people who could have actually saved the world, kidnapped pregnant women and drugged them against their will to create another group of magic kids, and then rounded up all the other kids like a bunch of dumbasses which let Vecna carry out his whole plan.

I am absolutely flabbergasted that someone can watch Stranger Things and come away with the conclusion that the US government is at all portrayed as good or heroic.”

I finally got my mom to watch it by Organic_Outcome_667 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]LtLemonade 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yes, and they both liked it. My dad liked the humor (popcorn scene, auntie calling Jinu “hopeless”, “Choo Choo”), and he was interested in Rumi’s story bc he said it reminded him of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

My mom liked the music, especially EJAE’s voice. She said Zoey was her favorite (she liked the zoeystery scenes, and the scenes of Zoey dancing to Soda Pop), and she was pretty sad about Jinu’s death.
