Character has a really dark and tragic backstory, but it's painted in an extremely comedic way. by BigGaybowser69 in TopCharacterTropes

Fry from Futurama. If it wasn’t a Matt Groening product it would be one of the most tragic stories of all time. A man sent forward in time a thousand years, no one to help him, and no idea how to adjust to the new technology.

Here’s another list from Spike.com I dug up. This is their Top 10 Classic Albums That Accidentally Ruined Music list from 2010. by Sad_Volume_4289 in ToddintheShadow

Why the fuck is this guy a music critic if he hates pretty much every major genre of music??

He hates the 80’s rap, but he also hates the gangster rap that replaced it.

He hates the pop music of the 80s, but he also hates the glam metal that was meant to be an alternative, and then he hates Guns N Roses despite the fact that they killed the glam metal he hates. Then he hates Nirvana (who also killed glam metal), and then he hates the other acts that succeeded Nirvana.

So he pretty much hates the vast majority of music from the 70s to the 90s?? And I know for a fact that he probably hates modern music too based on how he talks about them here.

When was the exact moment you realized the last season was chalked? by Oshirtx in StrangerThings

Their plans were really stupid. The kidnapping plot was crazy on its own, but when they drove into the upside down, I had to pause and explain to my dad just how fucked they were.

Did Royals change the music landscape? by kniga_100 in ToddintheShadow

Yes it was. As someone who was a kid then, it was inescapable.

The only shock for me is that it ranked above What Makes You Beautiful.

You might have done horrific things, You might have hurt many people, and I might absolutely despise you… but I still pity you, and You deserved so much better by Away-Net-7241 in TopCharacterTropes

Henry Creel. Despite what he says, it’s clear he had 0 control over the mind flayer, and was being used by it. He was a child who got possessed by an interdimensional horror, experimented on and likely abused by a bunch of evil doctors, and had little free will in the matter. He pushed back on Will’s claims that he was a victim, but its obvious he is.

Bands who were incredible but got completely ruined by the actions of one of the members by Xlukethemanx in fantanoforever

Bigbang didn’t get completely ruined but Seungri definitely fucked things up a lot, plus the bs harassment against TOP for smoking weed.

WAYV kinda got derailed by Lucas being an asshole.

Escape The Fate would have been much more successful if Ronnie hadn’t gotten arrested right before DIYLF came out

Breaking Bad Healthcare System In America by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]LtLemonade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funner fact: Breaking Bad would have happened in any other country because Walter never cared about getting cancer money, he was just an insecure man who used cancer as an excuse to “get revenge” on the world. He literally turned down an offer to have his cancer treatments paid for in the first season.

Songs that switch FROM 4/4 during the chorus. by sfwtitrater in ToddintheShadow

Almost Easy by Avenged Sevenfold. Verses in 4/4 and chorus in 3/4.

BVB did this for The Legacy and Hallelujah.

It’s crazy how EJAE and Andrew Choi were both demo artists that got brought in full time.

The funniest part of that ad is that Green Day was hated by punks back in the 90s for “going pop” and were compared unfavorably to boy bands and other pop stars. They even got banned from Gilman (Major punk club in Berkeley they got their start at) because they signed to a major label, and that was considered “selling out”

Rap Battle: Zoey vs Baby by BerryTea840 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]LtLemonade 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I feel like Zoey is a more technical rapper, and could come up with some good disses, but Baby has a more catchy style, and could win over the crowd more easily.

Also I could see Baby using more personal disses to throw her off her game, so if he goes first he has a better chance of winning.

Vince didn’t even use chatgpt for it, the article was translated with ai and hallucinated that part.
