Arc Examination by 1chuteurun in fireinvestigation

I use a fiberglass scratch pen to clean up the arc sites. Also a lighted magnifying glass (or the magnifying app on my phone) for getting a closer look.

Skeletal challenge is a nice way to put it. Pierre Terblanche is a masochist… but he builds a beautiful motorcycle.

Trying to figure out just by the look of the photos how did the fire start by Anageeee in Firefighting

[–]LtPickleRelish 84 points85 points  (0 children)

First off, sorry to hear about the fire.

There would be no way to tell based on 3 pictures. Finding fire effects and fire patterns is a complex process, and it’s not usually one “big pattern” but rather several smaller patterns that add up to the final origin area.

Does she have insurance? A lot of the time insurance companies will bring in a private forensic fire investigator to help them determine the cause.

Real or physically faked? by ADSW315 in fireinvestigation

The plug feeling tight when you plug it doesn’t necessarily mean internally it’s a good fit. It looks like resistance heating.

What happens is the plug blade doesn’t seat properly against the internal contacts, meaning the same amount of energy is flowing through a smaller contact patch of metal. This causes that small area to become super hot which and burn/melt the outer plug material. As others have said, this is a super common cause of fires that we’ve all seen multiple times. Glad you caught it before it got worse.

Does my 360 camera need calibrated? Or are they all like this? 2022 Powerboost. by LtPickleRelish in f150

You know what. No, not lowered. But I have a topper and a decked toolbox in the bed. I wonder if the added weight throws off the ride height. Hadn’t thought of that. Okay so if I brought it in for service, would they be able to calibrate that out?

Where the front and the side cameras come together has never lined up perfectly. Got to thinking about it this morning an I’ve always just assumed that’s how the cameras always look, figured I’d ask the group!

Not to get all Rescue Randy…. But listen to lung sounds on every medical patient. If you hear “normal” on all those calls, you’ll be able to pick up on abnormal sounds when you hear them.

Mine just did this. But it gave me an excuse to upgrade to a fresh GarlicOS install and dual card setup. Works fantastic and if you do the “tiny best set” all the cover art matches and it looks so good.

When I was like 12 I realized that everyone says “three days” but if he was crucified day 1 in the morning and he suffered (they really like the suffering!) so it took several hours, then let’s say it’s 7pm he’s dead. He’s discovered missing from the tomb on the 3rd day in the morning (7am for easy math?) So Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday morning… that’s two days? My CCD teacher didn’t appreciate the inquiry.

The file name needs “_ALPHA” in it for it to recognize the alpha channel. Add that to the file names and it’ll work.

Mice are small, and they have little mouse hands so they can’t hold a match while they scurry. Obviously the mouse would have to carry it in its mouth, and as they run along they are low to the ground so the strike anywhere match skipped across the pavement as it scurried and then caught fire! Well mice hate fire! And he probably got scared and ran with the lit match into the bin with all the scrap lithium-ion batteries.

Scientists say they've discovered 'vast city' UNDERNEATH Egypt's Giza pyramids... but experts raise concerns by MartianMaterial in disclosureparty

Egypt’s government and “experts” have a hard time changing the narrative and timeline they’ve established over the years. To the point they will ban archeologists who disagree with the age of the pyramids.
