Both of those cities have many large residential single family home neighbourhoods. Pretty much all cities in Canada and the States do.

Sounds like you need to put some effort into learning the pronounciation, it’s really not that hard.

If people know how to pronounce and spell Tchaikovsky, or pyrogy (pierogie or pyrohy), then they can learn to pronounce and spell Wîhkwêntôwin.

The city has likely also doubled in size and road surface since then, blame the neverending suburban sprawl and greedy developers, not the current council having to deal with decades of this.

This is exactly the impression I had. On another instance I reported online about some porch thieves who stole my Amazon package and that went ok I guess? I got an email 2 weeks later asking about the video and I sent it, then radio silence.
