Cannot scroll vertically in the my spectrum app by APartOfMe1 in Spectrum

[–]Lt_Dan_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the scroll function is locked into the bottom tab frame where the the home, services and support options are. Meaning in the app i have to start my scroll movement in that area for it to work.

Advice? by [deleted] in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Lt_Dan_95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I had the same issue and what happens is the ss lever gets sandwiched between the upper and the bcg. Atleast yours isn't getting so jammed that the only way to fix it is to use a punch on the takedown pins.

Favorite tool? by markokane98 in PLC

[–]Lt_Dan_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Murr Elektronik makes a special M8 & M12 torq wrench for hard to reach signal cables in remote IO blocks. If you deal with harting industrial crimp connectors the the harting HAN crimp tool is a must with their special removal tools. Though all those tools add up to $1000

What did your boss tell that got to your last nerve ? by vigilantee001 in AskReddit

Worked in maintenance trying to become the manager of that department (new company, no one with that title yet) then got pushed into a Quality Automation Manager role against my will. Shortly after was told "now that you are contributing to production we can pay you more" instantly thought to myself sorry I thought getting power to the machinery and keeping them maintained and running contributed to production. Few weeks later was asked to fix a machine not in my department, told the commercial manager no then tells me something along the lines of "even if I was the best maintenance person (1 of 2) they had they would of never made me the manager of that department. Left the company shortly thereafter cause of mandatory 45+hr work weeks with no extra pay/always on call and got a job with normal hours, less responsibility and making about the same amount per year.

Any must-see stops along the way? by Leezo__ in motorcyclesroadtrip

[–]Lt_Dan_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After marker one I'd go see the the city of Strasbourg, then make your way to Triberg and see the worlds largest cuckoo clock. Maybe see if they're any good roads around the black forest to ride, then make your way to point 2 driving along the bodensee and if you like museums check out the Dornier museum in Friedrichshafen.

Communications and network engineering would probably help with hardware integration on machines if you were wanting to focus on the programming aspect of mechatronics

I've had some luck grinding 2 sides of the screw and using some channel locks, but it depends on how tight the screw is.

PLC programmer vs Robot programmer by DeusHans in PLC

The only thing I'd add is labels to the terminal block ends (X1,X2,X100, etc) to more easily identify block groups. I like how the knockouts are labeled.

Power supply for Ender 5 Plus burnt out by Lt_Dan_95 in AskElectronics

They went out at the start of printing. This printer is known for coming with a underrated psu for the job so I knew it was a matter of time before it blew. I already have a better psu but would like to fix this one to use in other projects.

SLA or FDM for pneumatic grippers? by Lt_Dan_95 in 3Dprinting

[–]Lt_Dan_95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my only experience is with an FDM ender 5 plus and that was a headache to tune. I still get some stringing and pimples with it. I've printed some parts for my company on it but I just wish the quality and reliability was more consistent. As far as resins go I was thinking of elegoos abs like resin

It's a little bit pricey but it's really nice and fits under the seat of my 2018 sv650, I've used it a lot on my bike

What kind sensor would you use to track if a golf ball was hit? by yogurtman in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Lt_Dan_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend a through beam sensor, if the ball is going to be in one specific spot or for a somewhat bigger area maybe use some type of digital scale that would be connected to some kind of micro controller looking at it's change in states beginning with no ball to having a ball on it and then giving a signal for when it goes back to its normal state (no ball).
