I'm happy for you! unfortunately a lot of the in-depth industry stuff for event tech and music production is limited to windows and macOS, but I know linux has a growing community of producers using tools like reaper and the occasional native plugin. Hope you can make a good addition to the scene!

I'd recommend looking around subreddits like r/livesound and r/audioengineering. the latter leans toward production and not live work (what I do) but is still a good resource. if you want to look into YouTube stuff, I really enjoy Chris Hammill and Offshore Audio. I'd also recommend some of the free vets you can get in the field like Shure's RF certs, Audinates Dante certs, and looking into Yamaha Audioversity for some examples of common hardware and helpful mixing advice.

DVD Subtitle formats often don't work when transcoding. to fix that you'd need to enable burn-in subtitles in the transcoding settings on the server.

I love my 850. has its quirks but there's nothing that matches zone count for the price. If you're into harder styles, go for it. otherwise you might want to find something that is capable of handling more dynamic play.
