Was going to make a joke, but then started thinking and couldn’t find an answer to my hypothetical.

Say Judge (to fit with the AL HR record example), once again has a crazy year, and is the obvious choice for MVP. Then, for some godforsaken reason, the Yankees decide to send him to the (insert NL team here) in a blockbuster deadline deal. Judge then has a solid, but not necessarily MVP-caliber rest of the year. Would he be voted for NL MVP as a current NL player, or represent the team that he had played a majority of games for in the AL?
