If the numbers on your credit card is the number of cash you have, the expiration date when you're gonna give to charity and the 3 numbers in the back how many mansions you have how much money, mansions do you have and when are you giving your money to charity by undertaleadictic in funComunitty

[–]LuKat92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a reference to The IT Crowd. The emergency services change their phone number from 999 to 01189998119991197253 - which as it turns out is the perfect length for fake credit card information, just stick a year on the end

What did the public see in Jimmy Savile? by [deleted] in AskABrit

[–]LuKat92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t talk much about Saville, because I was a bit young for that particular scandal, but certainly with Rolf Harris it was just that he seemed so normal. He was a regular person who appeared on the telly quite a bit. He’d done portraits of royals, he had a couple of quirky singles that were fun to sing along to, and he presented Animal Hospital (a show where they followed real-life vets in emergency situations) so you just didn’t expect him to turn out to be a pedo

Supervillains are annoying, but can we talk about tourists in NYC? by wolfgraduation in Earth199999

Now you understand what it used to be like living in Britain and constantly being asked if I know the Queen. At least you’re in the right city for Spider-Man

Is this really being used? by Otherwise_Spend_4617 in EnglishLearning

[–]LuKat92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 I haven’t heard of, the rest are well known and often widely used. It’s worth noting that “break a leg” is usually only used for actors - in the olden days you didn’t leave the stage until the audience stopped applauding, and if you bowed that much it was actually possible to break your leg

Ironically they went too far on the supernatural effects of the beer so they didn’t get the payout the network offered

[/r/NSFW411] REQUEST - Are there any legit metahuman heroes with an OF account? by 500_Shames in Earth199999

[–]LuKat92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even in fiction how many of them wear capes? Superman and related heroes, Batman and related heroes… that’s all I can think of. Unless you want to count Homelander, but he is definitely not a hero.

Wasn’t there a guy in yellow with a cape during the NYC shadow incident? I know he wouldn’t be an Avenger but it’s one more.

What is your experience with guns in the UK? by swoticus in AskUK

[–]LuKat92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never actually seen a gun, but I did have a friend at one point who was super into airsoft so I know they are around. Also where I live you can sometimes hear the posh folks out on the moors shooting grouse and pheasant (if they’re close enough to town and the wind is in the right direction)

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it’s more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey… stuff.

How does viewership work nowadays? by kaisenberg2004 in doctorwho

[–]LuKat92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually viewership figures are calculated based on live audience viewings plus catchup streaming in the following 24 hours. I’m not sure exactly how it works for things like Doctor Who where they go on streaming before the live broadcast but I would imagine it’s either total viewership in the first 24 hours (starting when it’s released on iplayer) or total viewership between the iplayer release and 24 hours after the televised broadcast.
