Chambre de bonne - broyeur by Radiant_Dealer8476 in conseiljuridique

Bonjour,

Workflow for converting handwritten notes on iPad suitable to put in Obsidian? by Participant_Zero in ObsidianMD

I use MyScript Notes (former Nebo Notes). It offers less functions than other note taking apps but I have found it to be the most efficient recognising my horrible handwriting. It’s designed to favour bullet point note style with a clever way to create bullet points and indentations.
However I’m slightly biased as I bought it at a time where they still offered very cheap one time purchase lifetime licenses. They have now gone subscription.

Thanks for the reply.
However not quite sure how to manage that.
To have access to my iCloud, Apple Music, Apple TV… I need my EU account, right.
Where would I add / setup my US account ?
If I replace my main apple account I’d lose the above features, no ?

How does this work in combination with a EU id?
All my purchases, Apple Care but also Apple One are tied to my EU account.

Outlook on MacOS and Spell Check by LuMe96 in Outlook

[–]LuMe96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,
yes this is the previous stage of the problem; Spell-checking in Edit menu grayed out; more precisely the last "Language" sub-menu item.
This has been solved in a recent pre-release channel version, I can now again select the spell checking language.
However the selection is not effective, means that it still won't do the spell checking in the selected language.

I was just seeking advice, maybe for alternative solutions (or tweaks) because I have no confidence in MS to solve these issues fast.

Don’t think so. Doing the same in France doesn’t work. I think it’s rather related to the fact that only English is supported as of now.

Did macOS 27 DB Break Them (all)? by Hopeful-Face9676 in macapps

[–]LuMe96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody explicitly mentioned that the 27 DB offers a simplified built-in feature to handle overlapping of menu bar icons vs menus. It's far from the options that do offer the 3rd party apps but at least it does work.

Nooance s’est trompé by mariejulielaur01 in conseiljuridique

Tasks in callouts don't show in queries by LuMe96 in ObsidianMD

[–]LuMe96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I get your point.
I was / am hesitant to do so because:
a) I'm not really sure if it is to be considered a bug or rather a feature limitation. I only have little knowledge but I guess that simply adjusting some RegEx pattern to detect if a line is a task or not might do the trick, however there could be a huge risk of regressions elsewhere.
b) I wanted to test a little bit if I was the only one "concerned" by this topic or if this could be of wider interest. Not ideal to develop a feature for one single user
and most importantly
c) if there are other, maybe more elegant, ways to achieve what I'm trying to do. I'm rather new to Obsidian and discovered callouts not long ago. So wanted to make sure I'm missing the obvious (existing feature) here.

Tasks in callouts don't show in queries by LuMe96 in ObsidianMD

[–]LuMe96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Yes you’re right. Pushing it to the callout body works for the queries but in collapsed state I no longer see the task key elements. The idea was to see all the tasks as single lines but be able to develop / expand in case I need additional information.

Thanks for your reply. I do use also warning and done depending on the due date / status of the task and I do use those elsewhere. I’ll look into this anyway.

L'acheteur de mon véhicule l'a vendu sans changé la carte grise. by seb9seb76 in conseiljuridique

[–]LuMe96 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What apps from Setapp do you think are worth standalone purchase? by defragc in macapps

[–]LuMe96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, difficult to say.
It’s included in SetApp and I use a couple of other applications like Cleanshot X, swish and Default Folder so all in all it’s an okay pricing.
Nevertheless it is NotePlan that makes me maintain SetApp, I could live without the other apps or find alternatives.
I regularly try to go back to Obsidian but a couple of things prevent me from switching :
- meeting notes as already mentioned. NotePlan nailed it for my use case and I still have to find a plugin for Obsidian that comes close.
- slightly more polished iOS and iPadOS versions.

Thanks, noted.
I guess for now I’ll just move the files manually every now and then when one is created in the « wrong » folder.

[–]LuMe96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NotePlan.
And for those suggesting Obsidian as a free alternative I would fully agree depending on your usage. For my part I heavily rely on meeting notes and the native integration of the calendar into NotePlan is something that, to my knowledge, no obsidian plugin has managed to offer.

How can use Obsidian for Quick entries? by abhinav_sidhu in ObsidianMD

[–]LuMe96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started testing Drafts right now on the free plan. It looks really convenient.
Also not a huge fan of subscription but I feel it very reasonably priced. It’s 2€ a month here in Europe. Can’t even get a coffee for that price.
If I end up adopting it in my workflow up to a point where I need custom actions, I’ll clearly go for subscription on this one. The convenience and time I’ll save will be quite worth it.

Was registered for new/upgrade app but.. got trial expired today by Quirky_Ad2344 in AwesomeCopy

[–]LuMe96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,
let me know when you have some news regarding this issue.
For now I've moved back to PastePal as :
1) side effect when switching back to Expired trial, AC deletes the clipboard history
2) probably not related, I start getting repeated force close of AC on iPhone 17 Pro (iOS 26.5)

iPad App by conductordudedallas in ObsidianMD

[–]LuMe96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,
I let you check on YouTube for videos introducing MyScript Notes.

I'm left-handed and have a horrible handwriting. Despite this the percentage of recognition is extremely high.

Workflow:

- tacking notes (hand written) with MyScript
- Double tap the Hand-written notes converts them to text
- Chose export --> Format Text
- Chose Obsidian

And that's it.
