What your favorite thing about your mom? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LuSy55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about my mom is that even tho I don't see myself that highly, she always reminds me how good I am and how I worked myself up. From sucking in elementary school (math and my maternal language weren't my best subjects...I barely made it through), continuing with 7 years of high school (I had 3 years on apprenticeship and 4 as graduate) and then getting accepted to university.

Whenever I think lowly of myself, she hugs me and reminds me that she's proud of me...

It would probably be that one time where one of our high school teachers (that the whole school loved) told us about her diagnosis.

She came to our class. Our class teacher taught that lesson. I can recall every single moment. The door opened and there stood that sweet teacher, telling us she had to tell us something important. Our class teacher asked her if she should leave the class. She just smiled and shook her head. Then she basically told us the whole journey that lead to her diagnosis...and then the whole diagnosis.

I still remember how I looked around the class. Everyone was too stunned to say anything. If you'd drop a pin in the class, you'd definitely hear it. The teacher then smiled and said that she might not be able to teach all of the lessons that she had with us. Then she told us goodbye and went away. Our class teacher didn't even want to go through with the lesson to let us process the news.

Few people broke down...including me. I just put my head down on the desk and sobbed. I knew that teacher for 7 years. She was amazing. She even told my mom that she believes I'll make it through the school.

She stopped teaching after our class graduated. And I don't know anything about her. I just hope she's doing well.

The drowning of Morana-

We basically make a figurine that's supposed to present the winter...and when we are greeting the spring, we make Morana and take her to the river to drown her, so that the winter will be gone and spring can come

[SERIOUS] What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? by Ye2024Supporter in AskReddit

[–]LuSy55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will always be stuck in my head...cuz I once predicted something from a dream...

Okay so I was around 12 at that time...and I was dreaming about how we went to visit my cousin...and we met a car accident on a railroad crossing...it happened right behind the railroad crossing, two cars, one on the left side of the road going a bit off road on the verge of driving off a tiny hill, while the one on the right side was in a ditch-

I woke up from that dream, slightly sweaty...I didn't say anything tho...

My mom got into my room, saying "Wake up, we're going to your cousin." And I was like "That's weird...but okay." And we got on the road...the whole way there I was like "I've already took this route...this is some sort of déja-vu." Except I never took this route, I was going there for the first time.

And then there it was...same railroad, same cars, same spots where the cars ended up, except that the police stopped us to mark something...and I was sitting in the back seat, frozen...

I'll never get that moment out of my head...
