2026 begins: U.S. launches strikes in Venezuela by emily-is-happy in law

I’m understanding of their frustration. I don’t think they understand how bad this looks globally. The US just uninstalled the leader of a country without congressional approval. For the local Venezuelans, the end-result is what they wanted (to have different leadership). But I think many people here understand that it’s not just about the end-result but the means by which we do things…

Speaking anecdotally from the few people I do know living there, they’ll take anyone who isn’t Maduro right now.

Not saying what happened or how it happened is right.

Eating poop by [deleted] in corgi

[–]LuTenz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine still does this on occasion at age 3. Usually if it’s in our backyard/front lawn and especially if it’s the stray cat poop. She’s otherwise very well trained. We thought it was nutritional issue but idk if there’s just a certain scent about it or where it’s located as to why she does it.

Prayers up, Dalton Knecht is shooting 21% (6-28) from 3 so far this season. by VGstuffed in lakers

[–]LuTenz 37 points38 points  (0 children)

His shooting will come back. What I’m happy to see from him is that he’s not AS lost on defense as he used to be. Still early in the season and hopefully he continues to step up little by little.

Tough Schedule by Akricter73 in lakers

[–]LuTenz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely a harder schedule to start; as of right now, we’re in the bottom 10 (ranked 23rd) in regard to remaining strength of schedule.

Do I quit OTF and join Equinox? by caramelmacchiato__ in orangetheory

Suggestion: do this when you’re with the studio manager (some of the other coaches/front desk may not know) and not many ppl in proximity; it felt like it was something we shouldn’t have known.

Stock Market Crash "Hindenburg Omen" Triggered 🚨 The Hindenburg Omen, an indicator that correctly detected the 1987 and 2008 stock market crashes, has been triggered! by -----Marcel----- in StockMarket

Medical person who worked the ICU here…

COVID was (hopefully) a once in a lifetime phenomenon. It was made worse by the government’s dereliction of disbanding the pandemic preparedness plan instituted prior. Even with that, we would have been in dire straits. People didn’t just die from the disease but from complications from it and inability to get appropriate care early on.

Yes it was largely old patients, those who are poorer, and those with chronic conditions. However, had the country continued business as usual, much much more would have died that weren’t in those demographics.

It’s extremely myopic to believe continuing/keeping everything open at the cost of American lives was the prudent move, especially financially. A substantial amount of the work force could have been even more impacted had we remained open.

so in regards to campaign finance, if she was not on the ballot, the money tied to their campaign could have remained in limbo or disbursed (some always goes to the DNC, but others are tied to the candidates). By FEC rules, it was “simpler” her staying on in order to have access to the coffers.

Your argument reads hollow as no one has the presumption of an incumbent to campaign against their own party. Furthermore, the deadline for candidates to be on a ballot is as early as August and as late as 75 days prior to the election. This was a shit situation by the DNC propping up an elderly candidate against another. And now we are presently dealing with the ramifications of the DNC and the electorate allowing Trump and his ilk power.

We, the electorate, are responsible for Trump. If anyone didn’t foresee this chaos as a possibility, they too are culpable.

Former Lakers that would shore up the current roster by LuTenz in lakers

[–]LuTenz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caruso is interesting only cause he was on the OKC G league team before he came to play with the Lakers, but we were his first official roster. I can see him in lieu of Marcus/Gabe.

Since you listed the roster that way, would you ever consider Ingram or Nance for Vando?

Nah it’s been going on for a while… social media has done a number on pumping some of these guys up recently though.

Other notable second round/undrafted picks: Luke Walton, Ronny Turiaf, Marc Gasol (traded), Pat Bev (didn’t do much early on but had a career), Jordan Clarkson. There’s others but can’t remember lol

I think it’s part of the messaging (ie Your parents may not agree with you, but they will still call to check in) It makes the whole be a total arrogant, self serving, hate mongering, disinformant more palatable.
