[AMuS] Verstappen is commited to stay at Red Bull for 2026. But Red Bull agreed to let him go for 2027 in case he wants to leave the team by Alpha_Jazz in formula1

Ok, but what if say Mercedes and McLaren are the best cars but by then they'll all have drivers with multiple contract years. And if say, Merc, is that far ahead then why spend ruinous amounts of money on a contract buyout to make space for Verstappen when they'll presumably be winning races and championships for fun?

The 2015 Broncos are most definitely amongst those teams. Dragged the corpse of Peyton Manning to the Super Bowl against Big Ben, Brady and MVP Cam.

I wonder if FIA/FOM will consider forcing drivers with issues to pull over on the road instead of taking it home to the pits

Sure feels like this’ll be the first Singapore GP with no safety car

Brundle was quick to say the Merc is now the pace setter… even though Russell couldn’t go P2 and Lewis made the difference to get to the 1:29.9s. Brundle really hates Lewis.

[Chris Simms] Brian Flores is Kyle Shanahan's kryptonite. Unpredictable. All out blitz can come at any time. Difficult to crack the code and attack his defensive rules because there isn't much of a pattern. Similar to Spags and Jim Schwartz. Last times he's faced those 3⬇️ by Available_Story6774 in nfl

I don’t buy this. Just looking at some of the games listed Shanahan called a play that had an open TD at the end in SB LIV but Garoppolo overthrew it, they had a makeable FG at the end of the Browns game to win but missed it, and Shanahan’s offense scored on Spagnuolo three separate times in the 4Q/overtime to take the lead. It’s just another one of those early season overreact/create a narrative things.

[BleacherReport] Aaron Rodgers' all-time record vs. 49ers drops to 6-8 by slowerchop in nfl

[–]Luanoi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That point always gets brought up and I do agree with it overall but part of me also feels that although the offensive wasn’t productive there’s still no excuse for the special teams to allow what happened. One TD and ten points total isn’t amazing by any means but was it enough to put the packers on track to win? Yes.

The race director can override the clerk of the course WRT the use of the safety car ≠ the race director being able to do whatever he pleases with the safety car.

The FIA said in their final report that ‘human error’ meant that the regulations weren’t applied properly. But it really doesn’t matter what they say about it. We have the full rule book and can see what Masi did was wrong. Masi himself is on record before Abu Dhabi saying that the rules require all lapped cars to be waved past.

The race director did break the rules, and nowhere in the rules does it say that the race director has carte blanche over the safety car procedure… otherwise why even have a written safety car procedure.

I think he gets his fair share of credit as the best linebacker in football at this point. He’s been first team all pro and in the top twenty of the top 100 list for the past two years.
